Egret stuttered, hesitantly, like she had a big secret, a big one. Moss became efficiently impatient. The longer her sister tried making up a lie, the more eager Moss was to get the answer out of her.

¨well, Moss, I-uhhh...¨

Moss could tell she was racking her brain for something

Egret gave up and started refusing to tell Moss why he was there and what they where doing. Egret just put a talon on her shoulder, telling her nothing really happened, and told her to go back to the hut. So much suspension, so much Moss wanted to know,She sighed, listening to her older sister and turning around, limping back to the other end of the tanned path, the sun beat down on her as she looked over, Egret had already disappeared.

Weird.

Moss, concerned, walked back to the hut slowly, gaining speed, there was nearly nothing to do, especially since everyone just tossed her away because of her defect, she can learn things, shes just never given a chance too.

She groaned as the summer sun beat down on her dry scales, she forgot all about her morning mud roll, its what everyone did, to build up the mud in your scales was as good as the highest defense system, Mud covered scales was the reason Mudwings where called Mudwings with scales so tough.

Moss soon got to her hut, the sun felt like it was burning into her scales,  slipped into shade for a minute, cooling down before she stepped out once again to head to the muddier marshlands. Moss felt the ground, being melted by the sun, it was warm and felt nice in between her talons, she laid down, then stared rolling, her wings spread wide to be covered in the daily mud shell.
