Screams Cries and Sweat

I woke up screaming. I forgot that they're gone. I'm one of the last. I just had a nightmare. My parents were there and so was my sister. But they were dead. I tried to save them I really did. I knew they were still alive but the end was near.

I have a special power. I could read people's mind and I could freeze them. I can also live forever. Each of us are different but we are brothers and sisters. My roommates are Carrigan and Abby. We live in a abandoned city. Its called Lake Mish City. I came here a long time ago but I left everything at home. I hope my nightmare wasn't real. My parents don't know where I am but I love them.

" Carrie! You and Colin are on a raid duty." Abby yelled. I got up and put a black jacket on. I never told anyone this but I like Colin. His blonde hair and greenish-blue eyes. " Okay!" I yelled out to her. I walked out of my room. Our room was different than the others because Abby was practicing her fire and burnt a hole threw the wall.Also our room was colorful. Not even Maddies and Taylor's room was colorful. Anyway I walked to the main room ready to go when Chase came in and yelled " WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!!!" I knew it was probably someone random off the street but I ran down to the cellar anyway.

This wasn't are first attack but we were acting like it was. Maybe someone else attacked us. I remember getting a warning from the old Mayor. He said if we didn't leave he would attack. Everyone is scared of us but we are basically normal people with powers. I ran back upstairs to see if anyone was left behind but nobody was. I wasn't sure what scared me the most. The fact I was alone or the fact people were attacking our building. I went to the main room to see if anyone was out there and sure enough there were people out there. I knew it was against the rules if I were to freeze a attacker but I did. All of the men turned and looked my way but I ducked into a empty room. I was in big trouble if someone found out about me. Maybe I should leave the team. My parents already think I'm dead so who cares?

I walked out into the hall unaware of where the men were until " Put your hands up. Don't move" I turned around to see one of them behind me with a gun. I wasn't going to die today so I kicked the gun out of his hands. He tried to punch my stomach but I did a back flip and dodged it. I was trying to read his mind but I couldn't. It actually hurts when I try. I froze his legs and then I tried to read his mind but a sharp noise pierced my head. " They told me about you Carrie. You are the only one that can read minds." He said. I got up and left the building. I never looked back.
