The Last of Us

The Rescue/Escape

Taylor and Morgan came to rescue me. I couldn't live without them. I wouldn't be here without them.

Mike walked in with Morgan and Taylor behind him. "You won't hurt me." I told Morgan. "She will if I tell her to." Mike told me. "By the way Molly called she wants her life back." I said with a small laugh. "Carrie, I'm not here to hurt you." Mike said. "Hurt me? You could barely hurt a fly." I continued with the jokes. He looked over to Morgan but she didn't move a muscle. He let out a deep breath and continued. "Carrie, You thought being done with the promise would protect your loved one. But where's Mitchell?" Of course he knew about the kiss. "I don't love Mitchell." I told him. He kneeled down beside me and kept talking. "If you didn't love him then why did you kiss him? If you didn't love him then why did you keep his secret from me? If you didn't love him then why are you here?" The questions were all just a way for them to get me to confess. I need to be strong and not say anything that will get Mitchell in trouble. "Why?" He asked again. This time I looked him straight in his dark blue eyes and said "Because I do love him."

"You aren't as good as a liar as I thought you were." Mike told me. I looked at Morgan and her mind said it all. She knew I wasn't lying but of course she was to scared to say. "I ought to punch you." I mumbled. "What?" He asked. I pretended to clear my throat and repeated myself a little bit louder this time. "I said I ought to punch you." He just let out a laugh and said "I dare you to hurt me. Molly doesn't let her threats go you know." I rolled my eyes. He is so annoying. "You don't understand I'm better than Chase. Do you?" He asked. "I understand that you and him are about the same." I said. He slammed his hands down on ground and yelled "I'm nothing like Chase!!! Do you understand?!?!" I backed up a little bit and nodded. "Take care of her." He told Morgan as he left the room.

"Morgan, don't" I told her. "I highly doubt she would." Taylor said with a smile. I hugged her. "Bad news!" Morgan kinda screamed. "What?" Taylor asked before I could. "Carrigan can't take out the three guards that are outside." She told us. I smiled when the door flung opened. I ran outside the room and froze each guard. "I can." I said still smiling. Carrigan came running up to us with Mitchell. I ran up to him and kissed his soft dry lips. I haven't felt this great in forever. "I right behind you." I whispered in his ear while giving him a hug. Just then a alarm went off. "They know we're gone." Mitchell said in a hurry. We ran down the corridor but Carrigan said "Five guards and Molly are coming down this way." Carrigans power is to see in the dark. It could be completely dark but she could see. And when the lights on her vision goes dark. Its like light is her weakness. We stopped and turned around and ran down the other dark corridor. "Were trapped!" She screamed. "Yes you are." Molly said coming up around the corner. "No were not. Remember how we escaped Chase?" I asked. Everyone except Mitchell nodded. "Do that." I said grabbing Mitchell's hand. Morgan put her hands on Carrigan and Taylor put her in Carrigans hands. The light shone so I touched Taylor fast. I made sure I had a hold of Mitchell and we left W.A.W.I.
