Y/n's Pov:

I waited outside of Aki's room as her parents and grandma were inside. I felt sorry for them as I heard their cries.

I sat down on a chair, pulled my phone out and started scrolling to kill time.

"Y/n" suddenly I heard a voice. I turned my head and saw Akio.

"Oh hey" I got up. "What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you. But not here, let's go to my car" he said in a serious tone and started walking away. I was confused but still followed him.

"If it's about job, I'll come back in a few days" I said while we got inside his car.

"It's not about that. Well, kind of" he looked at me and stayed silent.

"Akio, you're scaring me"

He sight and pulled his phone out. He started searching for something.

"What is this about?" He showed me his phone. My eyes widen when I saw a photo of me and Ran getting inside Ran's car. I was shocked at how he found out.

"A-Akio, it's not what-" he cut me off.

"Save it, Y/n. Tell me what were you doing with Ran Haitani. You realize that he's the one we're trying to catch right?"

I remained silent as I didn't have anything to say. I was in the wrong and I knew it. Akio scoffed and started speaking.

"You're screwing yourself. You're screwing us all. What do you think will happen if chief finds out about this? Do you think he'll just forgive you and move on? You're lucky this photo wasn't sent to him but to me"

"You're not gonna tell him, are you?" I looked at him scared. He looked at me but didn't speak.

"Akio, you can't do this"

"Yes, Y/n. I can and I will if you don't stop seeing Haitani"

My eyes widen at his words.

"N-No, I can't do that. You're asking something impossible" I shook my head sideways.

"Then watch how you'll get thrown to jail once chief finds out about this"

I looked at him and remained silent for a few moments.

"Akio... I love him" my eyes filled with tears. "You can't ask me to leave him"

He sight and his eyes softened. "Look, Y/n. I'm not saying this to make you sad, all I want is the best for you. That's why I'm asking you to leave him. If the police find out about this then you'll be in jail for years and your family will be outcasted from society. No one will want to engage with someone who's daughter dated a dangerous criminal"

"And about Haitani, do you really think you'll have a peaceful life with him?" He said making me confused.

"He's a criminal, trouble will follow him everywhere he goes. That's how you'll be in danger too. And you can't even have a family with him. Do you really want your kids to have a criminal father? Do you want them to be a target of his enemies? Are you even sure he's gonna love his kids? He was raised without parental love, how can he be a parent to someone?"

I looked down as his words pierced right through me. He was right...

Ran is a dangerous criminal who has enemies everywhere he goes. I can't have a stable future with him or a stable family.

Tears started rolling down my eyes as I started sobbing.

"Y/n, don't cry. It's gonna be alright" Akio comforted me.

"W-Why does it have to be this way? Why can't I be happy for once?" I sobbed harder and he hugged me.

"I promise, one day you'll find someone worth loving. And you'll be happy"

"I don't want anyone else... I-I want Ran"

"I know, I know..."

I continued crying in his arms and finally after some minutes I calmed down. We pulled away and I started wiping my tears away.

"Are you alright?" He asked and I nod.

"You sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure"

"Do you want me to drive you home?" He asked.

"Thank you but no. I wanna have a walk and get some air" I smiled.

"Alright, be careful"

I nod and opened the door and got out of the car. I started walking away and thinking about the conversation I had with Akio.

As much as it will hurt me, I have to do what Akio told me.

I'll break up with Ran tonight. It was too good to be true anyway.

Ran's Pov:

I held my head as I had a terrible headache. Right now, we were at a meeting and Sanzu couldn't stop arguing with Koko.

"You have spent 45000$ on fucking toys, you pink dumbass!" Koko yelled.

"They're not toys! They're a deadly collection of knives!" Sanzu's eye twitched.

"You have enough knives and plus they're basic, what so special about them?!"

"They are one of a kind"

"I don't see the difference between these and the kitchen knives" Koko scoffed.

"Yeah, because you don't torture anyone, that's why you don't know how it's like to cut flesh with these ones and the basic ones"

Kokonoi was about to say something but Mikey slammed his hand on the table making all of us flinch and look at him.

"You're getting on my nerves..."

"Sorry boss" Kokonoi apologized and adjusted himself on the chair.

"I apologize boss" Sanzu said as well.

"The meeting is over"

We all got up and started walking away. My mouth curled into a small smile as I was finally getting to see Y/n.

After I dropped her off at the hospital, I gave her some spare keys of my house so that she could come tonight and whenever she wanted.

I walked outside and saw that it was already dark. That means that she must be already home. I opened the door of my car, got inside and started driving.

Finally after some minutes I arrived. I parked in front my house and got out of my car. Then walked to the door and opened it.

I walked inside and was surprised to hear an elegant song playing on the living room. I slowly walked towards it and noticed a weak light coming from the living room.

When I entered I saw Y/n. She was wearing a white loose dress and her hair slightly blowing away from the warm breeze that was coming from the open window. Her eyes shining so brightly, like a million stars.

She has never looked more beautiful.

"Come on, darling, dance with me. The world is spinning, we can't just stand on it" she smiled and reached her hand to me.

I adore her.
