In shadows deep, a girl did roam, A lonely heart away from home, The night embraced her with its grace, As raindrops kissed her weary face.

The city's noise, a distant hum,
Her thoughts entwined, a heavy sum, She walked the streets, a ghost unseen, Her fragile heart, both torn and keen.

Each step she took, the pavement grieved, Her burden weighed, the rain relieved, An endless river down her cheek, The secrets that she'd never speak.

The lamplights flickered, dim and faint, Their glow adorned her like a saint, Yet shadows clung and would not part, From the chambers of her aching heart.

She sought solace in the storm, As raindrops danced to life's reform, Her tears concealed by heaven's cry, A subtle blend of earth and sky.

For in the rain, her heart found space, To breathe, to weep, to self-embrace, A moment's grace from life's demand, To let her spirit softly land.

And as the dawn began to rise, The girl released her muted sighs, The rain, a balm to ease her strife, A fleeting solace in her life.
