And as quickly as the battle started, It ceased. Everyone stopped firing. not only had a Ship smaller than a Longsword arrived and destroyed a CCS, but it also left unscathed, at ludicrous speeds at that. Everyone in the multiple UNSC stations were observing the screens on the OWP's, Still dumbfounded about the situation. Their covenant opponents were shocked too, A fighter sized ship had just brought down a Ket Pattern Battlecruiser, but it used weapons never seen before, which, unlike covenant plasma weapons, glowed in a capri blue, it also had a shield, a very strong one at that, able to tank almost 10 seconds of holy fire even after being hit by multiple plasma torpedoes

(Lieutenant Commander David "Sovereign" Cunningham's POV).

We were on our crew quarters, when suddenly, all the noise of the battle died down, thats what really brought us to alert, We still being alive means the battle wasnt over, because our stations were still standing, if that wasnt it, then what happened?

".... Am i going deaf or has it actually stopped?..."

NAV: "No sir, we too dont hear anything"

MR: "That must mean we already won! God bless the Home Fleet"

WH: "While i too wish for this war to be over, you cant be that wishful thinking, zealot. Something very bad must have happened for the battle to die down like that"

"I agree, lets check the hangar bay, get tactical boys!"

As soon as everyone was up, we B-lined back to hangar 2, only to find that everyone was standing silently and looking at the wreckage of a destroyed CCS. "What even is happening?" we thought, and even more surprising that everyone staring soulessly at a destroyed CCS was that the covenant too ceased fire, something major must have happened and so we approached a fellow airmen

"Hey, what exactly happened here?"

Rook sqd. Airman: "This weird blue cylinder-like ship... or well, "Ship" suddenly showed up and gunned down a CCS in no time like it was childs play, even the covvies are stunned it seems, i mean, we too would be stunned if a ship the size of 2 longswords came in guns blazing and obliterated a capital ship"

It all made no sense whatsoever, was it a covvie rogue element? or did ONI unleash some kind of secret superweapon not even high command knew about? 

But none of those questions really mattered, what really was important was the fact that it outpowered a CCS in a relatively short time, making the covvies stare in awe, just to then dissapear.
