like a vexborne,sience made of vex magic,ones movement can easily(or be partially be stopped,depending on ones will) be stopped by another or vex hybrid of sort

Or maybe an avians' wings need to be preened once in a while

Think of it,many Speicies have their ups and downs,to balance it
