chapter 8: Home

Gaege pov

Her face lit up.

She had the biggest smile on her face that I've seen so far.

I then realize I was smiling big too.

Tears were coming to my eyes.

Being able to see her happy made me happy.

I don't know what this girl did to me, but I love it.

I walk over to her and hug her.

She hugs back.

"How are you doing?" I ask her.

"Good. I am a little hungry though," she said.

"Do you want me to go get you some food? " I asked her.

The room went silent for a second while she just staired into my eyes.

And of course, the moment just had to be ruined by my stomach growling.

We both bursted out laughing.

I haven't ate in a day. So im pretty hungry my self.

"Sounds like I'm not the only one hungry, " she said laughing.

"Yeah, no kidding. What would you like to eat, I'll bring it to you," I said laughing.

"NUGGETS! " She said so joyfully.

I swear to God it was so adorable. Just like her. Wait, am, I falling for her?

If I am, I am, oh well. There's nothing to do about it. Except just hope she feels the same way.

"What? " she asked looking at me puzzledly.

"Nothing, " I said slightly laughing while shaking my head. " I'll go get those nuggets you want, I'll be back in 30."

"Okk, " she said with a smile.

Damn her smile is cute.

*After 30 minutes of Gaege being gone*

Y/n pov:

Damn. It's been 30 minutes. Where could he be.

Just then, the door swung open.

"I'm so sorry I took so long! There's was traffic from a wreck that happened, " Gaege said sweating out of breath and holding a bag from McDonald's.

"It's fine. I understand," I said giggling.

He brought the food over to me and handed me my food. We both sat there and ate and talked until the nurse came in.

"Ms. l/n, I have your discharge papers, " the nurse said.

"Okk, " I said smiling.

Me and Gaege finished our food and I got dressed.

We got in the car and sat there. Gaege didn't start the car.

"What's wrong gaege? " I asked concerned.

"Where do you want to go? " he asked without looking at me, like he was scared of what I would say.

"Where ever you want to, " i said with a gesturing smile.

He looked at me and smiled. He started the car and started to drive. As he was driving, I got a little tired and fell asleep.

A little while later, I woke up in a bed. I realized it wasn't my hotel so I must have been in Gaeges house. I had different clothes on than when I left the hospital. Which is strange.

I went to go find Gaege, and I heard talking as I walked closer to the stairs. The talking was coming from the living room. I stopped walking and just listened.

"Yeah man, she's so cute, and beautiful, and gorgeous, and goofy, and silly. I think I'm falling for her. I'm just scared she don't feel the same. She's spent the night her twice now. "

After that sentence, I knew he was talking about me. He is really sweet. And I feel the same way about him. I always have. Which might sound weird, but it's true.

I listen more to the conversation.

"Yeah. I don't know how to ask her out. I'm scared to. I know I shouldn't be a pussy to, but I am. I mean like, what if she says no. What if she just laughs at me. Am I gonna end up single for the rest of my life man? "

He sounded so sad, but I didn't want to interrupt his conversation.

"Alright man, I'll talk to you later then. Ima go check on her. Bye"

As soon as he said that, I dashed back into his room, got on my phone, and pretended that I had just woke up.

"Good morning sleepy head, " I heard him say in his calming voice.

"Good morning, " I said sleeply.

I love his voice.

"What do you want for breakfast? " he asked as he sat in the bed beside me.

"Waffles, " I said as I moved and laid my head in his lap.

"What kind of waffles? " he asked rubbing my back.

"Chocolate chip, " I said smiling.

"Ok. Don't get to comfortable, " he said.

"Whyyy? " I asked sadly.

"I gotta go get our food, and I'm not using door dash or anything, I'm picking it up myself. You just stay in bed. "

"I'm thirsty though, " I said making an excuse to go against what he said.

"I'll bring you a water, and then I'll pick you up an actual drink while getting your food, " he said smiling.

"Okk, " I said back smiling. "Also, one more thing before you go, " I said as he as getting up.

"Yes? " he asked so politely and sweet.

"Why am I in different clothes than I was last night? " I asked giggling.

"I got clothes out for you, and you changed yourself. You might be to tired to remember though, " he said.

"Now that I think about it, I do kinda remember changing clothes, " I said.

"Yeah. And then right after that, you crawled right onto that side of the bed, and fell asleep. " he said giggling.

God was his laugh cute. I hope he asks me out soon. I know I'll have to act surprised when he does. Maybe I won't even have to act. Who knows. I just hope he does it soon. I really like this man. He treats me really good. Better than anyone.

After the conversation me and him had. He left to get the food.
