Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The first birth is the beginning of the physical existence of all human on the surface of the earth.
The breath of life is a deposit of the spirit of God in man , that makes man ( human ) a living soul. " Man as a living soul" dwells in a container built by dust which is called body.
When alive humans are 'three in one'
i. The body ; which was without life( spirit) and soul when it was formed. Gen 2 vs 7a
ii. Spirit ; This is the breath of life, the deposit of Gods spirit that makes the cold moulded dust warm(Alive) and effective
It is this Spirit that activates the potential of the soul in body, it also serve as a link between the soul and the body.
iii. Soul ; This is the inner man that will stand before God on the day of judgement ( the last day )
When we breathe our last breath as human , that spirit which is a deposit of God in us returns to God ( the source) , the body returns to it's source ( the dust ) , while the soul remains immortal, waiting to face the wrath of God or to be welcomed to joy without end.
