Chapter 3: *Lunch*

"By the look on your face, I'm guessing you're When I approached the table where Alex was sitting. I saw that next to him 2 others were sitting. As I got closer, Alex saw me and waved at me first. Then he made a funny hand gesture that apparently should show me that I should sit down with them. When I sat down I could finally see who was sitting next to Alex. The first one sitting next to him was a female fur. She was a black jaguar and has yellowish eyes. Her fur is completely black and she looked at me curiously. She was wearing a pink sweater and blue jeans. Next to her sat a male cat. He has dark brown eyes and wears a light blue t-shirt and black sweatpants. His fur was orange in most places, but in others he had white and black fur. There was no real pattern to be honest.

"Now that everyone is here I can finally introduce you to each other. So this is Bryan." he said, pointing at me with his paws. The other two looked at me and nodded in response.

"Well Bryan. This fluffy cat here is Markus. And the jaguar with the black fur is Sarah. That's all you need to know so far." said Alex and looked at me.

"I told you to stop calling me fluffy. I just have a little more fur." Markus said to Alex, where Alex started to laugh slightly.

"You're the new one in my class. Nice to meet you. Tell us something about yourself, if you don't mind." Sarah said suddenly.

So they want me to tell them something about myself? Well, there is actually hardly anything to tell about me. I am just a wolf sitting here.

"Well as you already know my name is Bryan, and I am a wolf. I am 17 years old and my birthday is on the first of September. In my free time I like to listen to pop and draw. Well that's all I have to tell you." I told them and started to eat my food.

"Oh you like to listen to pop too. Me too. It's my favorite genre of music. Alex I have to help my mom with her birthday party again today. So I won't be able to join you today if you want to go somewhere." Sarah said and looked at me and Alex in turn. Alex nodded at her.

"To be honest, I already live alone in my own apartment. " I then said. The others looked at me in shock, and I thought I had said something wrong.

"Why do you already live alone?" Alex suddenly asked me after a short pause.

I don't know how to answer to be honest.

"Well, I can't really answer that. I just moved out early." I said to them. However, that was a complete lie.

"I would also like to have a place where I can live alone. But my parents don't allow me to. So I have to wait a little longer," Sarah said.

"I also still live with my parents, but that doesn't bother me much," Alex said.

"And you Markus?" I asked, looking at him. Markus then looked at me and sighed.

"This is boring, can't we do something else?" said Markus, then all of a sudden. I was confused. Was he that bored with our conversation?

"By the look on your face im guessing your completely confused about his reaction. But don't worry. He's always like that. He will call everything boring and be bored most of the time. So don't worry," Alex said to me and looked at Markus in the meantime. Markus just looked at him and then looked at me again after a few seconds.

"I live together with my mother. That's all you need to know," he said, taking his cell phone out of his pocket.

"Well, the break ends soon. Do you guys want to do anything today? I don't have anything planned for the whole day." Alex then said and looked at me for a while, and then he watched Sarah and Markus.

Sarah clapped her hands suddenly and looked like she was going to say the coolest line in the world. "Like I said, I can't make it today. So I guess you guys will have to do something without me. I need to get going now. I still have to meet with a friend. See you around." she then got up from her chair and left the cafeteria.

"Well now it's just the three of us. What about you, Markus? Do you have any plans today?" Alex asked Markus.

"I can't today either. Because I'm playing with my band today. Can we stop now? This is mega boring." Markus said and looked at his cell phone again.

Now only me and Alex were left. I looked at Alex and saw that he was nervously tapping his foot under the table against his other foot.

"And what about you, Bryan?" he asked me. I could see in his eyes that he still had a glimmer of hope. Well, to be honest, I have nothing to do today. And I would like to get to know him a little better.

"Well, I don't really have anything planned for this afternoon. So if you want we can do something." the moment I said this I saw his eyes sparkle, and he started to smile.

"Great! Where do we meet? Wait. Let's meet in the car park in front of the school! What time can you come today?" Well, I didn't expect such a reaction. Otherwise, he has never asked me so many questions in one sentence.

"He always asks that many questions when he's happy." Markus said to me. He probably noticed that I was slightly overwhelmed.

"I have until 2 p.m. today," I said to him.

"Cool me too. I'll see you then. But we'd have to go back again. The break is about to end." When he had finished the sentence, he stood up. Markus did the same. And I stood up too. When we left the cafeteria, we said goodbye and I walked back.
