꧁ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 13꧂

It's been only a few minutes since the group have met Phillip but he's already loved by them. He's the center of attention for the past minute and he was surely enjoying it. The kids were happily playing with him.

"Now kids, I don't want to interrupt your fun but I think that the food's ready. You should all eat for now. You guys can continue playing later." Y/N calmly informed them.

The kids responded with a groan but obediently followed as Phillip just pouted. Everyone headed to the said dining room.

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

"Can I eat with them? Pweaseee?" Phillip begged.

"Yes of course. Just make sure to stay with Norman so he can watch over you, m'kay?" Y/N said. Phillip then tilted his head with a confused face.

"Why? Aren't you eating with us?" Phillip asked. Y/N smiled as she caressed her son's cheek.

"No sweetie, I'm not hungry yet. I still have something to do in my office. Don't worry, I'll try to get it done quickly so I can join you later." Y/N reassured the boy in front of her.

Sadness was obviously displayed in front of the boy's face. He quickly hugged his mother as a sign of missing her. She lovingly returned the boy's action as she kissed him on his head.

"I'll make it up to you, I promise. Now go and join them. You're probably hungry, too?" Y/N asked.

"Will there be lemon pie?" Phillip shyly asked.

"Of course, how could I ever forget your favorite food?" Y/N chuckled.

"Go now, have fun with them. Remember what I told you." Y/N smiled.

"Yes Mom!" Phillip said. Norman came to pick up Phillip as Y/N leaned to his ear to whisper something.

"I'm trusting him to you." she whispered.

"Wait, you're not going to eat with us?" Norman asked in worry.

"No, I don't feel hungry yet and I have to do some work first." Y/N said.

"You know that you can always leave that for later and have some rest first, especially some food. Do you want me to bring some in your office?" Norman asked.

"No, I'm fine. Just go and watch Phillip for me." Y/N as she turned her heel and leave. Norman and Phillip watched her figure leave to go to her office.

They both sigh and decide to get some food. Upon arriving in the diner, all eyes fell on them. Norman fixed Phillip on his chair and soon sat on his own.

"Where's Y/N?" Emma asked.

"She said she wasn't hungry and she will have to get some work done in her office." Norman answered.

"And you let her?" Ray asked in disbelief.

"Of course no. I tried to convince her but she was more persistent so I let her go." Norman answered.

"Let's just eat for now." Norman said. Though he seemed to brush it off on the outside, he was really about her deeply in his chest.

Everyone was amazed on the amount of food they had in front of them, it's not like they had this many food in the past year. This is the amount of food that they could probably stretch for at least 5 days.

"Got ahead. Please eat. No need to hold back." Norman reassured.

"Can we really eat so much?" Emma asked as she stare at the food in front of her.

"Are you sure there's enough for everyone else?!" Mark asked, worried about the others even though his stomach is clearly grumbling in hunger.

Norman was taken back because of this. He felt pity for his siblings that they had to experience things like that.
