The white car keep driving in the empty city as the dead bodies were everywhere to be found. None of them dare to make sound. They got chills watching how the city has turned into a pit of hell.
Is this the first thing they'd see after leaving the place that was also hell for them? The escape feels like running away from the crocodile only then to end up in the lion's den. They were struck by how the city that was once busy could be the quietest place on earth.
“We need to pull off at somewhere. Suckers must be around.” Ryu said, his eyes focused on the road until then a creature was standing infront of us. He was backfacing the car. Ryu stopped. “It's a hum-” Joel were cut off. Her happy thoughts end in a second when Maya pulled the trigger and shot the creature dead.
“A normal human would not be standing in the middle of dead bodies' ocean. That's suckers. the tribal must be somewhere around.” Kaise said as his eyes scanned around the place before Ryu continue to drive off from the city.
Luckily there were no suckers spot around. At least, they could've let out a relief sigh. Ryu pulled off the car infront of a convenience store. There were no power supply which caused the place seems dull. Plus there were nobody “Get the foods. We at least need them to survive longer” Ryu ordered as Maya and Touka offered to step out and get the food.
“No. Let me get off” Kaise said shaking his head before he got off and close the door when Touka was about to step off “Silly kid. He thinks he's a savior is it? The romance is dead now” Tristan said before chuckling as then a loud smack came from Joel and Touka.
“stop romanticizing everything!” they both said at the same time which made Ryu shook his head. “They need to be faster.” He suddenly said after 5 minutes. His eyes still scanned everywhere. Being careful if there's any danger ahead.
They both stepped out after 10 minutes, hop in the car before the car speed off from the convenience store.
Ryu, doesn't know where he would take them. He does, but he knows that the place might be at least miles away from the place they are in right now.
“It's better for us to keep moving.” Maya said taking out a bread before giving them each of the pieces including Ryu. She would shove the bread into his mouth which made he let out angry growl.
“I definitely guarantee that there is safe place for us to stop at.” Ryu said before turning the car to the right “But it is at least 400km from here.” he said making all of the eyes on him.
“Where is it?”
"Military headquarters” he simply answered before all of them sigh “the headquarters? You think they would take us in? No. They would not” Joel said shrugging off. There's no way they would. Even if they did they would be investigated and then they might be killed because they think they're threats.
“We will see.”
