Celebrating New Years

It was December 31 2022,Everyone was preparing for the New Years,and everything...was normal back again.

"Are you excited for the new chapter coming,honey?" he gently asked,hugging Rosie from behind.

She slightly chuckled "Of course,It's another year for us to make great Memories with eachother,and meeting new things and opportunities." then she kissed his cheek while she was slicing the ingredients.

You arrived in the front door,holding a bakeware pan on your hand,wearing oven mitts,and a back pack on your back.You knocked on their door with your foot.

"Oh,that must be Y/N. I'll go get it." he walked to the door and opened it.

"Hey Doc!I'm glad to celebrate New years with you guys. Plus,I made lasagna for us to enjoy!" you excitedly said.

He exclaimed "Oh no,no,Y/N.You shouldn't have"

"Oh,Please,Doc.I insist,it's fine" you replied assuredly and chuckled

He welcomed her "Come in,You are always welcome here,feel at home.Rosie is preparing food for us,ehr..How about I take this in the counter so it can cool up a little,I'm sure it is very hot carrying it all the way here." he carried the lasagna to the kitchen and puts it in the counter with pot mats below it.

You put your bag properly in the sofa and walks to the kitchen "Hey Ms.Rosie,what are you cooking?" you asked

Rosie happily replied "Hey,Y/N!I'm just preparing us some food for tonight .I am so glad you came to celebrate New year with us!"

"That's great!Uh,well,Do you need anything?I'm heading off to buy some drinks in the groceries." you asked.

She answered "Oh,yes.Sure,sweetie.I'll just give you the list" she then went to get a piece of paper and a pen to write a few things she needs for the food she prepares.

"Here you go,Y/N.Thank you,I'll pay for the rest of it and the drinks you're going to buy too" she says,passing the list to you.

You insisted "Oh,no,no.I'll pay for it,it's my treat.It's my thanks to you and Doc for being there for me and taking care of me whenever I needed it." and gave a soft smile.

Rosie awed and hugged you,patting your head gently.

"I appreciated that,Y/N.I'm very glad to know that"

"Me too."

You both then let go of the warm hug that gave you comfort and safety,you went to put on your shoes and left to go to the Grocery Store.

At the grocery store.You are walking around,with your cart,looking for the things Rosie need for the food she will prepare for New Year.

"Mhh..Where could this one be.." you wonder,you kept looking for the signs for each aisles to check and went to get it.

As you walk by,you suddenly got slightly bumped to someone familiar,leaving you a soft gasp.He quickly held your shoulders to prevent you from falling.

"Oh,I am so sorry.Are you hurt?" he asked, concerned.

"Yeah,I'm alright.." your eyes widened leaving a soft spark in your eyes when you saw who you got bumbed into.

"..Peter?"

"Oh..Y/N,it's you." he chuckled softly

"Hey,Peter.How have you been?It's been a long time!" you excitedly said.You fixed yourself and pointed the cart towards your direction and slowly walked as he follows by your side.
