"So are we really doing the phone tracing thing that never works in the movies? Keep them talking Sam, just two more minutes I've almost got him and then he hangs up just before we can get a lock," Mindy mocks as Chad, Ethan, Kirby, and I stare at her
"I can trace a call in under fifteen seconds," Kirby says "Well, you've got them out there as bait," Mindy says shifting her sitting position "Because the killer usually calls from somewhere nearby," Kirby says
"And you think they're safe because it's broad daylight and a public place?" Mindy says leaning onto the table where Kibry's computer was resting "Look I am here and so is Bailey," Kirby says looking at her
"This is exactly how our uncle Randy died in broad daylight, public place, tanked into a van, stab stab stab no more Randy!" Mindy says raising her voice and Kirby's eyes widen "want some?" Ethan asks while putting the bag of Cheetos near my face I shake my head no and he moves them back to his lap
"Hey Sam, stay frosty out there," Kirby says to same over the ear com, we can't hear what Sam was saying besides Kirby so we were just kinda staring at her like lost puppies "Yup GO location coming through right now," She says
"He's on the upper west side in a public building, halfway across the city," Kirby says with confusion lacing her voice, I could have sworn someone we know lives up there "How did you know that?" Kirby says "Gale," I say it finally clicking in my head

"Hey, I got here as fast as I could," Danny says while running into the hospital door where Chad, Mindy, Tara, Sam, Ethan, and I were all sitting "Did you?" Tara asks giving him a dirty look
"I'm scared you guys, I really don't wanna get hurt again," Mindy says "Yea I really don't feel like being stabbed like 10 times again," I say and Ethan puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me closer
"Neither do I," Chad says looking ahead "I don't want any of us to get hurt again," Mindy says while looking at Chad, he leans back and puts his head on her shoulder "I know," He says
"So what do we do now?" Chad asks "Maybe he gets to win this time, he wants to punish me, so maybe I let him. I'll just give myself up, if this is what I have to do to keep you safe it's worth it," Sam says and Tara stands up
"No, we're not doing that Sam, alright. You went back to Woodsboro to protect me, every single day you make the decision to protect me, none of us would even be alive if it wasn't for you." Tara and we nod in agreement "You have to let us protect you this time,"
"No," Sam says with tears forming in her eyes "Yes," Tara says and Sam shakes her head no "We're a team remember," Tara says "Actually we're a family," Mindy says standing up and walking toward them
"Let's go, core five, Lex get over here," Chad says and I break away from Ethan and walk toward them but Ethan wasn't far behind "Core what?" Danny asks "It's more of an us thing," I say and he nods
"He's gonna keep coming after us," Sam says "Isn't there like somewhere safe we can hold up in?" Ethan says from behind me "He's just gonna keep finding us," Sam says and Ethan sighs and drops his head into the crock of my shoulder "Great," He whispers
"We could use that though," Tara says looking at Sam "We could make it so we are one step ahead," Sam says and I walk away before even thinking twice about it.
I don't want to go through this again, I can't do it. It's great that they're all so brave but they didn't lose a fucking sister to this bullshit. I feel my hands start to shake as I walk around the corner and my vision becomes blurry "You okay," I hear a voice say but I can't see who it is
"I can't breath," I say barely able to get my words out "Hey, hey," They say and I can tell it's Ethan "Just think about breathing in and out, think of something positive to help," He says and I nod trying to think of something happy but I just keep thinking of Liv
"It's n-not working," I say trying so hard to breathe "Shit," I hear him say and all of a sudden I feel lips on mine and hands at my cheeks. He pulls away and we just look at each other for a second "Can you breathe now?" He asks and I nod while a tear falls down my face "Good," He says softly while biting his lip
I walk closer to him and grab the sides of his face and pull him back down for another kiss. If I die tonight I want him to know how I feel, I want him to know that I have already fallen in love with him. I pull away with a smile on my face "I love you," I blurt out and he smiles "Well it's a good thing I love you too," he says pulling me back in for another kiss
"If one of us died tonight and I never told you, I'd never forgive myself," I say leaning my forehead on his "Well it's a good thing neither of us is dying," he says with a smile and I sigh
"We should probably go back," I say and he nods "But one more thing," He says before pulling me back in for another kiss and I just feel all my thoughts melt away.

I know some of you are going to hate that I had them kiss so quickly in the book but it's a movie there is only so much time, so I had them kiss now before you know, stab stab stab. but they're cute so get over it <3
