  The third time's a charm.

  A chime...?

  A rhythm.

I swayed to it and it played even heartier.

I was the composer and the chains shackled to my wrists and ankles were my instruments.

This wouldn't be my first time chained up.

  I chuckled.

Then I coughed. It echoed off of the small, cold room that surrounded me.

Mucus in my throat and the air around me is chilly. I've caught a cold.

Either my eyes are open and it's pitch black... Or they're closed... And it's pitch black.

My broken leg swelled to fit within its shackle. I felt it throb with pain but it couldn't phase me if I wanted it to. I've trained for this, of course.

After a long while of swaying in my chains and feeling out all my injuries, I started to hum myself to sleep.

Hopefully, I'll dream of God and not... anything else.

In twenty minutes there was no need.

Just as it happens, he appeared with the light from the door. My weak heart throbbed just seeing his silhouette. He is so captivating.

"God," I whispered, desperate. His hair fell beautifully behind him and whatever he wore fit him well. Of course, it did.

He flipped the switch and the room was lit.

Obsidian surrounded me. We're under a volcano?... The Zoldycks. It explains his agility. Who would've guessed they'd be holy?

"Hi," I said. My heart wasn't the only thing throbbing now. I introduced myself.

He came closer with a plate of unrecognizable food.

I'm sure I would recognize it if I simply took a glance, but my eyes couldn't turn away from him, God.

With every step closer he came the weaker I felt... the harder I fell. Death...

A whip? Circled around his strong shoulder.

"I will feed you first," he said simply, noticing my observation.

Feed me? Like I'm a slave who can't even feed herself? Is that what you're into? I bit my lip.

He picked something from the plate with his own hands. My jaw dropped to accept it and I stared franticly into his bored eyes.

I accepted the food with a desperate tongue and bit down on his salty finger to make love to it with all my mouth could.

He took it back without reaction and continued to feed until it was gone.

  "Thank you, Daddy," I wheezed.

"Who sent you to kill the family?"

"I don't know." I was honest. Probably the A.A.A. though. Then they ambushed me and left me to die. It's not the first time they've tried that. I just like the challenge.

I just wanted to watch him and hear him... And feel him but he was two feet too far.

He unraveled the whip and I couldn't take it.

"Why are you being so nice?" I exhaled, breathless. I squeezed my thighs together. He's really going to hit me with that?

  He's going to... Oh yes...

I watched in awe as he prepared to strike.

He was generous with the first lash upon my thighs of all places. I shook with excitement. My skin split open adding yet another injury.

"Mmm, God!" I'm going to hyperventilate!

"Do you know now?" he asked plainly. Cleary a practiced line.

"No," what a beaut. He could whack me all day with that figure. Maybe he'd get off from it eventually.

My head hung low and my limbs spread.

"What do you know about the A.A.A.?" he asked.

  "Everything," I promised.

He wasn't going to try the whip again. And it pained my body. He saw that it had no effect on the first lash.

"Oh?" he put a surprised look on his face (again very obviously practiced). Then it was back to a blank gaze as if his act was over. "Tell me what you know."

  "May I have a kiss?"

"No," no reaction. Just the word followed by silence. He waited for me to speak. Fine...

I began... Telling him about the people and giving a few names and families.

In a few minutes, I finished with the names.

He was turning... to leave. It ached.

  "Wait!"

  He did not.

"I want to tell you more, please!"

He was leaving... and I might never see him again. "I'll miss you," I shook. My head hung lower and my limbs went limp.

"If you come back... I'll tell you their main operations," I begged.

  He turned back.

In all my life I've never felt hope until this moment. It was such a shock I almost choked.

  He waited.

  This time I couldn't rush.

  "Tell me now."

"But you'll never come back to me," I laughed. A bandage.

  "N-"

"Haven't you ever done anything besides work? It's just a little fun."

I tried to smile at him... My teeth had been brushed. I felt my face stretch for it knowing how unfitting it must look.

"I will come back tomorrow," but his eyes were still bored within mine.

He looked at my pathetic smile and turned on his heel.

I guess it was enough that he acknowledged my grinning at all.
