Part Three: The Dukes of Star Base 12-The Successors

Lord Richard Devereux was the oldest son of Lord John Devereux, Earl of Essex Territory on Star Base 12 and he was the nephew of Lord Patrick William Howard and Lady Margaret Penelope.

Lord Richard Devereux was born in 2170, five years after his older sister, Lady Anne Devereux in 2165, and five years later his brother, Lord Edward was born five years after Lord Richard Devereux, in 2175.

Lord Richard Devereux was good friends with Lady Jeanette Virginia Beaufort and he was good friends with Lord Charles Beaufort, Lord Philip, Lady Philadelphia Carey.

How could Lord John Devereux know that his oldest son would have no children, and his family would be continued through his youngest son, Lord Edward Devereux.

Despite the treatment of long term side effects of radiation in the 23rd century, it claimed it victims through parents of the children, and some children were affected and Lord Richard Devereux was one of those children that were affected and it rendered him infertile, but he had no way of knowing it until he married in 2189 to Lady Joan Welles and they had a happy marriage but it resulted in them having no children, so when Lord Richard Devereux died in 2240, and his younger brother, Lord Edward Devereux who was born in 2175 and he was married to Lady Elizabeth Butler in 2195 and they had three children, Lady Frances Devereux was born in 2205, Lord Stephen Devereux was born in 2200 and a second son, Lord William Devereux was born in 2210, one year after Lord George Frederick Carey and Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR.

It is through Lord Stephen Devereux and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Maud Bromwich who married in 2218 that they gave birth to Lady Penelope Devereux who was born in 2220, two years after Lord Edwin William Howard but she was Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard age.

Lady Penelope would become Lord Edwin William Howard's second wife, after her first husband died three months after they married and they would have one child, Lady Eliza Katherine Howard and she would marry Lord William David Beck and they would have one child, Lord David William Beck.

The Earl of Essex Territory would pass onto Lord John Devereux great-great-great-grandson, Lord David William Beck and he was also the great-great-great-grandson of Lord Patrick William Howard and the grandson of Lord Edward David Christopher Beck, who Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR called a petty aristocrat.

Karma has long claws as they say and she raised Lord Edward  David Christopher Beck up with his grandson, Lord David William Beck when he became Earl of Essex Territory in 2275.

His youngest great-granddaughter, Lady Edmee Georgiana Grey became the 2nd Duchess of Suffolk Territory.
