Have you ever wondered what it was like to be royalty? Well let me tell you, It sucks alot. Only things that are tolerable are my best friend, Sebastian, and the fact that all members of the royal family have an elemental power. No one outside of the royal family knows of our powers, courtesy of our "sister", Eliana, and her psychic abilities. Out of all twelve of us, not including "father", she would be the most mature.
I feel light shining through my closed eyes meaning that father has sent the youngest of our family to come and wake us, even though most of us haven't slept due to the excitement of today. You see, today is the day that he assigns us to teams for when we have missions or for protecting the kingdom, which is ALWAYS in danger for some reason. But nevertheless, it's our "destiny" and that's why we were "chosen" and whatever else he told us.
She begins to flicker light in and out of my eyes, making me see a temporary light show before I jump up and pick her up, spinning her in the air. She giggles in my arms as she tries to get out of my grasp.
"Put me down Seth!!" She giggles out as I set her down on her feet so we can walk down to the dining hall where everyone is probably waiting for us.
"So Lily, did he decide whether he'll put you in a team or not?" I ask the little girl as we near the dining hall. She nods her head with a sad expression meaning that she wasn't assigned a team, which is kinda unfortunate considering she would be a big help with stealth missions and what not.
We make it to the large dining hall, where all ten family members are seated. This must be really serious since the natural four are here as well. They're usually never here, and they're the oldest of us all by like three or four years. They're also the strongest since they each use one of the four natural elements, these being fire, water, earth, and wind.
Their leader is Max, who uses the element of fire. Then there's Luna the water user, who is also the strongest of them considering she can control blood flow. After her, there is Terra, controller of all earthly things like rock, wood, stone, and other things I could care less about. Finally, there is Aaron, who controls the air and sound waves, which- in my opinion- is really cool.
They all glare at me as I sit, silently scolding me for being late. I hear Sebastian silently laughing until Eliana begins to mess with his brain, instantly making him stop. I smile at that as I wave at everyone innocently
