"Alright all cameras are set." Akechi looked at the tablet with many camera views throughout the building "If we're bodyguards shouldn't we be close by at all times?" Sugar pointed out causing Akechi to shrug "Any ordinary bodyguard would do just that but can you guess how we're different?" Akechi adjusted his earpiece "We're standing in the janitor's closet and watching cameras for three hours" Sugar answered straightening her dress "...There's a male wearing a blue suit with red hair approaching the V.I.P." Akechi zoomed in using the camera and observed body posture and movement from the person "Red hair wearing a blue suit? That's one terrible ass fashion choice" Sugar smirked leaning over to see
"Time to put on a show. I'll make sure to keep my eye on her" Sugar opened the closet door peeking through the crack she ensured no one was around before slipping out and shutting the door behind her before heading to the ballroom unaware of the pair of eyes that were on her "V.I.P. is looking aggravated" Akechi switched cameras flicking through and scanning each one for abnormalities as Sugar entered the ballroom she made her way through the crowd of magus's all wearing colorful dresses and suits making her stand out 'Let's see... there you are.' Sugar approached Olga
"Lady Olga if I may have a moment of your time." Sugar put on a facade as she gently grabbed Olga by the arm "My, I never knew you had such a beautiful companion." The red-haired man said "Yes, this is-" Olga was interrupted by Sugar "You can call me Angelica." Sugar said softly as the man trapped her hand gently "Angelica what a lovely name" The man complimented as Sugar gave a subtle wave with her other hand at her waist "I must be going. Please take your time to get to know each other" Olga said with a forced smile before walking away "Sorry I forgot to introduce myself I am Thomas Hannagan" The man introduced himself but as he kept talking Sugar was scanning the surroundings ignoring every word he had said "I cannot believe you're attending an event such as this alone" The man said as Sugar giggled while she mentally scoffed "Well I'm not alone I have a boyfriend waiting for me" Sugar smiled and began walking away but the man grabbed her by the wrist "Really now I would like to meet the man that managed to charm you" Thomas said
"Sorry to be the knight in shining armor but could you let go of her wrist?" Akechi gripped Thomas's shoulder tightly "That's quite a strong grip you've got I'm assuming you're her boyfriend?" Thomas inquired "I thought that was pretty damn obvious." Akechi said as Thomas let go of her wrist "Sorry if I was a bit forward Mrs. Angelica" Thomas apologized "Apology accepted, enjoy the event this evening Mr. Hannagan" Sugar said politely as she wrapped her arm around Akechi's and when they got a good distance away "Always up to some kind of mischief" Akechi sighed "It's not my fault the guy was too pushy. Plus it's not like I can break his arm in public" Sugar said
"Why'd you leave the closet?" Sugar looked around for Olga as Akechi did the same "The cameras have been offline ever since you left the closet do you have anything to do with that?" Akechi asked "Plan B?" Sugar asked putting on her gloves "We're compromised but I'm not sure why they haven't made a move on Olga" Akechi said as he stared at Olga strutting towards the stage "Maybe there's a sniper?" Sugar suggested "Not enough openings or a clear shot even to take her out." Akechi said already having looked at the location
"Then what about faulty tech?" Akechi faced her with a blank face "What? It's still a possibility that those cameras could still fail y'know." Akechi kept staring blankly at her "Alright then it's not that sheesh" Sugar and Akechi sat down together as the duke of the mansion spoke into the mic "Excuse me everyone I would like to thank you all for coming to today's party..." Akechi had already gotten bored at the duke's opening words "This kind of reminds me of the auction back in Paris which I really didn't have time to ask but why did you originally come up to me?" Akechi asked "You seemed interesting. Wearing a mask behind a mask kind of reminded me of myself so I decided to approach but it shocked me that you were the person targeted by the curse." Sugar leaned onto his shoulder "Still survived somehow. I had a lot of wounds and thought I would've died at that church" Akechi remembered the light of dawn in his final moments before passing out
"I should've killed you but as promised on the invitation. Last until day and you'll get your wish but I think for both of us it turned out differently than we first thought." Sugar said "Now I have you and vice versa" Akechi said romantically causing a small blush to appear on his face "How cute~ Say why don't we do something more intimate when we get back?" Sugar whispered into his ear before blowing onto his ear causing him to shiver "Hehe~ I'll take that reaction as a yes" Sugar grinned as Akechi sighed at her advances
Just then Akechi's phone vibrated causing him to pull it out "Something just tripped the motion detectors." Akechi got up at the same time as Sugar "There goes the chance for a normal job." Sugar sighed
