"Wei Ying, h-he doesn't have a heartbeat"

"what?!" Sizhui gasped. 

Lan Wangji then started to shake Wei Ying's small figure without his usual composure, "Wei Ying, wake up!"

Wei Ying then stirred slighted as he mumbled something which sounded like 'five more minutes' as he went back to sleep.

This made Lan Sizhui astonished and confused but Lan Wangji understood the situation and just sighed in relief that his husband is alive. Lan Wangji's eyes then went cold. Who dares to mess with his husband? Where is Mo Xuanyu's body and when did this happen? how dare they touch him. Then Sizhui snapped him out of his thoughts.

"a-Die w-what's happening to baba?" Sizhui stuttered. "He'll be ok right? h-his life isn't in danger right?" he said voice full of fear and worry.

Lan Wangji then kept a hand on Sizhui's shoulder, "Do not worry, this is Wei Ying's soul in his younger self."

"You mean that this is how Wei Qianbei really used to look like? Then what happened to Mo Xuanyu's body? Will he be able to turn back?" Sizhui asked.

"Mn, I do not know."

"The kids saw us Lan Xichen! Keep your paws off me!W-we have work to do"

Then Lan Xichen sighed dramatically as he embraced Jiang Cheng from behind. "Wanyin doesn't love me anymore~"

Trying to escape the embrace Jiang Cheng stuttered, "you! Don't talk nonsense! You know I-I... Urgh"

Lan Xichen then asked slyly, "You what?"

"You know I love yo-"

And then someone slammed the door open.

"Xiaozhang, Wei Ying is in danger"

Now this made both of them surprised. "What do you mean Wangji?"

"What happened to him?" Asked Jiang Cheng agitated.

Then Sizhui appeared and explained everything to both of them.
"Someone has kidnapped Mo Xuanyu's real body and all that's left is Baba's soul. So Baba's current form is a ghost."

"How dare they enter cloud recesses and do this shit?! Isn't seperating the soul from the body a technique invented by Wei WuXian?" Asked Jiang Cheng.

"Mn. And the technique itself is very dangerous. When seperating the soul it can be easily destroyed."

"How is he now? And don't blame yourself Wangji, you were always careful enough" Lan Xichen comforted Lan Zhan.

"Wei Ying's fine, but the opposing side might be difficult to deal with."Said lan zhan.

"Yes, I will inform this to uncle and strengthen the security. But have you found how to turn him back into his original state?"

"I have not, Wei Ying will know how to." Lan Wangji said with disappointment.

"Don't you think it'll be a nice change for Wei WuXian to go to Lotus pier? Maybe his soul will regain some of the memories as he grew up there and then we can find a way"said Lan Xichen.

"Maybe we can try that, but I swear if I catch that fucker who did this, he isn't gonna make it make alive" Jiang Cheng said while gritting his teeth.

"Well, you've to get ready to take Wei Ying to Lotus Pier Wanyin. Don't stress over" Lan Xichen said while placing a hand on Jiang Cheng's shoulder.

"I'll be coming" Lan Zhan said while deeply thinking about something.

What they didn't notice was that a transparent tailsman stuck on the ceiling.

"Gege, it's just as you predicted, they fell into our trap and are preparing to head to Lotus Pier now." They said with a slight smirk on their face.

"Hah, Very well, now all we have to do is send Wei WuXian to the depths of hell where he will be tortured till he begs that he wants to die."

"But can you really rely on that? What if something happens?"

"Then unfortunately The Yiling Patriarch will just die without getting tortured, but atleast that Lan Wangji will suffer without him... Oh and that hothead from Yunmeng. Honestly, that dog doesn't even deserve to be happy"

"Why is it unfortunate that he dies?"

"Well, I'd be sad if he died without getting tortured... He should atleast give us a good show for all that we've done to orchestrate this"

"..."

"And, prepare that and keep it ready. You better not fuck up anything"

"I will gege"

I'm back... First I'd like to apologise for updating this late and so sorry for keep you all waiting for months. I'm not gonna say my whole family died, my house burned etc etc. I was too exhuasted mentally n physically to update.I did not get a vacation after my finals and my classes started after the last exam. I'd reach home at 6 and didn't have time to write the new chapter. But fortunately I've a vacation now so I'm finally updating this after months. Idk how other Asian schools r but mine r tough. Thank you for paitently waiting for so many months. and the updates will be pretty late cuz I've my midterms as soon as my school starts. It would be nice if my school allowed devices so that I can write from there during breaks but unfortunately that's a no too. And my health is much better now as I've been taking medicine from December. Thank you very much for supporting me till now. And I'll never discontinue this fanfic. Love y'all♥️✨.
