After the Rebellion, as the Homeworld Gems were commanded to retreat to Homeworld, a small seed made of gem material falls into Earth's ocean.
As the Crystal Gems were fighting to protect the Earth against evil, an unknown gem is underwater learning...
The Earth was deemed non-viable as a colony by Homeworld, commencing experiments to use Cluster Gems using the gemstone shards of fallen Crystal Gems.
The Cluster is planted inside the Earth's mantle as a last resort to make use of the planet. Homeworld Gems are commanded to evacuate Earth.
But as the Homeworld Gems were evacuating, a blast from a light cannon caused a rumble on one of the ships which caused a small seed of gem material to fall off the ship landing on water, sinking to the deepest depths of the ocean.
During a battle between Rose Quartz and Hessonite, Hessonite loses the Light Prism and is forced to leave it due to the Corrupting Light the Diamonds would unleash.
Lapis Lazuli's mirror is abandoned at the Galaxy Warp and her gemstone is trampled over and cracked during the evacuation. Many Homeworld Gems get left behind such as Nephrite's crew.

The Corrupting Light is initiated by the three Diamonds, corrupting all Gems caught in it. The only known Gems who were unaffected by it are Pink Diamond/Rose Quartz, Pearl, Garnet (protected by Rose's shield), Amethyst (not emerged yet), Bismuth (bubbled), Lapis Lazuli(trapped in the mirror).
200 years later..........
The Galaxy Warp becomes inactive due to Homeworld evolving with their technology. Amethyst emerges from her hole after the Rebellion, 500 years later than any other gem in the Prime Kindergarten.
Underwater, a blue figure is seen swimming around the edges of a seamount viewing the area around it. A large creature sees the blue figure swimming, thinking of it as prey, the large creature rushes it.
*CHOMP*
The large creature is seen floating in two pieces, bitten in half. The blue figure is swimming deep around the vast ocean hoping to learn more about its contents.
19th century
Rose Quartz begins traversing the Desert with a pride of lions. William Dewey and his crew are attacked by a Corrupted Gem and rescued by the Crystal Gem fusion (Obsidian).
Underwater, the blue figure is seen swimming with a pack of sharks, the blue figure senses an unknown creature close to its position, it summons a harpoon with a jagged tip and throws it to the direction of the target.
*SCHLICK*
The blue figure feels it hit something, so it pulls the rope tied around the harpoon, before it could even see its catch, the sharks smelling the scent of blood, rushes the target penetrated by the harpoon and starts ripping it apart until it's gone.
In the summer of 1862, William Buford Buchanan, Beach City's most notorious arsonist set a record of 335 fires. He drowns after diving into the ocean trying to evade police.
20th century
In 1965, the author of The No Home Boys series Dustylegs Jefferson died after being hit by a train at a book signing event in an active train yard.
Beach Citywalk Fries is founded in 1979. Greg drops out of community college to become a professional musician and tour the country. He changes his surname from Demayo to Universe and forms a partnership with Marty.
Greg falls in love with Rose Quartz and decides to stay in Beach City at 22 after cutting ties with Marty. Greg attempts fusion with Rose Quartz and proves that pure human-gem fusion isn't possible.
The blue figure is seen staring at a blue angelfish, fascinated by its appearance, starts to follow it. The angelfish after seeing the blue figure, threatened by it, swims away into a hole. The blue figure following the angelfish, hits its head on the rough surface of the small hole the angelfish retreated to.
21st century
Rose Quartz records a video for Nora/Steven. Rose Quartz gives up her physical form to give birth to Steven Universe. Construction begins on the Beach House.
Under the ocean, an angelfish is seen swimming happily among many other angelfishes, a shark sees the school of fish and begins stalking them, unknown that a blue figure is protecting the angelfish.
*SWOOSH* *SCHLICK*
As the shark rushes to the school of angelfish, suddenly out of nowhere, a harpoon struck it, penetrating through its head, killing it.
In the darkness underwater, two greenish blue eyes glow, and a menacing laugh is heard, as the harpoon is pulled back into the darkness.
