THE UNWANTED CHILD

New Family

Flashback (present day morning)
James pov.

I was a bit nervous. I had to tell my sons about my girlfriend as i invited them tonight for dinner. Actually i proposed her for marriage last week and she agreed wholeheartedly. I was so happy that i kept smiling the whole day. Damian couldn't believe his eyes and even asked if i am fine. The others kept looking at me with eyes wide open as i had not smiled since the day my wife died 10 years ago along with my unborn princess. I had always wished for a little bundle of joy who will be treated like a princess by me. This wish was soon going to be fulfilled. This was one of the reasons that i proposed Sabrina. as soon as i heard she has a little daughter, I couldn't calm myself.
I went downstairs for breakfast where i will tell about my decision of marriage to my sons.

I reached the dining room to see all my kids waiting for me.

"Good morning everyone" i said smiling slightly as you know that i am not a person who shows a lot of emotion well, except around a cute little girl ofcourse.

"Good morning Dad" they replied in their usual emotionless voice.

The maids came and served our food. We started eating after thanking them. Well, it was lasagne, Dante's favourite this time.

Half way through the breakfast, i coughed a little to bring everyone's attention.

"I have a girlfriend and have decided to marry her soon. She has a daughter and I have invited them home tonight for dinner. I will be asking them to stay here from today onwards as we will soon become a family. I hope you all will be in good behaviour and be a little considerate towards this decision of mine." I said in a tone that meant not to cut me in between.

As soon as i stopped talking they all had their mouth open wide. They had mixed emotions.

Damian looked like he didn't care at all.

I think Ace was atleast looking forward to tonight's dinner.

Xander and Xavier were low-key glaring at me which i knew will be wiped out with a look of mine. I was 100% sure that they were going to cause trouble.

Dante was smirking. I don't know what goes on in this child's mind nowadays. He has been causing trouble at school on a regular basis.

"How can you decide all of this on your own Dad? Did you forget mom. Didn't you love her?" Xavier said in an aggressive tone.

"You are no one to decide what i do in my life. I have always loved your mom and will never forget her so next time you doubt on my love you better be prepared."  I said in my coldest voice while giving him a deadly glare to which he kept quite and didn't made eye contact with me for the rest of the breakfast. I finished my breakfast soon and went to my company to finish off work so that i can come back soon for tonight.

Xavier's pov

I woke late today with a bad headache as I was in a party last night along with Xander.
It was a late night party and we had lots of alcohol. I ended up with a mind blowing hangover in the morning. I got ready for the day and went downstairs for breakfast. I was just on time as Dad entered just a few second after me. All my brothers were already present before me and were chit-chatting among each other or using their phones.

After a while Dad started telling about his decision of marrying someone. I was already having a headache and this new information just caused volcanic eruptions. How can he even think of someone else than our mother as his wife. If this wasn't enough a girl in this household will just cause me problem. I know they were some gold diggers after my father's money. I don't know how Dad fell in this trap. As soon as Dad left, i threw my plate at the wall across me. All the servants were looking terrified.

Damian's pov

I felt somewhat angry but i know that Dad has a life too. He needed someone who he can lean on for emotional support. I know he don't want to burden with that and on top of that the idea of having a daughter must have stuck in his head.

Xavier's anger was legit but him being this worked up didn't appeal me.

"Stop being rash Xavier" i said in a demanding tone.

As soon as i said he stomped across the dining room towards his bedroom. Xander soon went behind Xavier with a frown on his face the whole time.

Ace didn't looked by this new information. He was peacefully eating his breakfast.

On the other hand, Dante looked unusually calm. He was deep in his thoughts.

"Are you alright Dante?" I asked in a calm tone.

"Yes, absolutely fine. In fact i am looking forward to the new family we are going to have." His behaviour was very suspicious, he was not someone who would agree to Dad's decision so easily.

Whatever it was, i just knew that i had to look into this mother daughter duo for any danger signs for my father and brothers. As long as they don't cause any harm, i am fine.

Pov ends.

The rest of the morning, James was indulged in his company, Damien was also doing his part of work as he was the president of the family business, Carter Industries.
Ace was at the hospital as he was a Doctor. Xavier, Xander and Dante were in the gaming  room playing videogames as school was off due to some construction works.

Soon it was 5 in the evening and the Carter brothers dressed for the welcome of the new members of the family.
