Daryls here?

I was walking through the woods one day and I came across a prison. There seemed to be people inside still, but they did not look like prisoners.

"Drop the weapon!" I heard a voice behind me and the click of a gun, "Turn around and take off your hood and mask."

I dropped all the guns I had on hand and in hands reach.

I started to turn and around and then I, "Rick!"

I quickly pulled off my mask and hood when I saw it was my brother.

"Y/N!" He dropped his gun.

Rick walked over to me and hugged me tight.

I hugged back, "I fucking knew you were alive!"

"I was so worried you were dead," Rick pulled away, "You are staying here with us."

"Really?" I grinned.

"Ye! Of course," Rick nodded, "You have to see Daryl."

"Daryl's here?" I was shocked, "You've met him."

"Yep," Rick smiled, "We're kind of best mates now."

"I knew you two would get along," I went back to having big grins on my face.

Rick took me inside to the prison and we passed a lot of people. It was a big community. But I didn't see Daryl.

"I'm going to take you to Hershel. He will give you a check-up just to make sure you're not bringing any illnesses into the prison," Rick told me when we stepped into part of the building labelled cell block C.

"Okay," I nodded.

We went down a hallway and Rick knocked on one of the doors, "Hershel!"

Hershel opened the door and immediately looked at me. Probably cause I was the new face here.

"Hershel! This is my sister Y/N. Y/N! This is Hershel," Rick introduced us.

"She's alive," Hershel faced Rick then me once again.

"Nice to meet you," I held out my hand.

"It's a pleasure," Hershel shook it gladly.

"We're here to get her a check-up," Rick explained why we were here.

"Of course," Hershel moved to the side to let us in.

"Go sit on the bed Y/N," Hershel pointed to the bed.

"Okay," I nodded and walked over to the bed where I sat down.

Hershel and Rick went over to a counter and started talking.

"Where did you find her?" Hershel whispered.

"Outside the prison. In the woods," Rick answered.

"Don't need to whisper. I can hear you clearly already," I interrupted their conversation.

"So, Y/N," Hershel sat on a stool in front of me, "Have you had any illnesses recently?"

"No," I answered.

Hershel used a medical tool to look in my eyes and then my nose.

"Bites? Scratches?" He asked.

"None of that," I answered.

"Good," Hershel gave me a friendly smile, "Could you open your mouth please?"

I did and Hershel gave in a quick check. He then checked my temperature.

"You're good," Hershel stood up and walked over to his desk.

Rick took his place in where he was just sat, "We have so much to catch up on."

"Can you give me a condensed version now?" I asked.

"Well obviously Carls grown up. Shane tried to kill me, so I had to kill him in self-defence. I have a second kid named Judith. And... Lori died," Rick frowned.

"I'm so sorry Rick," I sighed, "Lori was a good person."

"Its okay Y/N," Rick stood up, "I'm going to go find Daryl for you. He's going to be so happy."

"Thank you," I grinned as Rick ran out the room.

After a while of just sitting there while Hershel was sat at his desk working, there was a knock at the door. Hershel stood up and walked over to where I was.

"Shhhh," He told me as he pulled the curtain so I couldn't be seen from the door.

I heard the door open then, "Hey Hershel!"

I would recognise that voice any day. Daryl's voice. His perfect voice.

"Rick said something about a new girl wanting to talk to me," Daryl continued.

I stood up and just wanted to pull back that curtain but couldn't.

"Yes. I'll give you guys some privacy," Hershel walked out.

I could tell by the sound of footsteps. Then I heard something hitting the ground. Was that Daryl's crossbow? Then I heard more footsteps. I saw fingers grab the end of the curtain and pull it back. My face had a huge grin and Daryl looked shocked. He was different. He had long brown hair and he looked amazing as ever.

"Y/N?" Daryl's face went from shocked to smiling.

I just hugged him by wrapping my arms around his neck. He immediately hugged back and lifted me up. I wrapped my legs round him and he held me close to him.

"I thought you were dead," Daryl pulled away and I could see that he was tearing up.

"I'm here now," I stroked his cheeks and wiped away a few tears that came down his cheeks.

Then I kissed him, and he kissed back.

Daryl took me into the proper cell area and so his cell.

"This is where I sleep and of course you're staying in here with me," Daryl held my hand.

"I can't believe you have beds," I smiled.

"Have you not?" Daryl asked.

"No," I shook my head, "I've been on the run for years. Alone. Sleeping on the ground of houses and huts and roofs with one eye open. I've been trying to find you."

"Back in Atlanta we set up a camp. I wanted to wait for you but we had to move. I only gave up looking for you a few weeks ago," Daryl sighed.

"In what way would you look for me?" I asked.

"I'd search nearby the camps we were in. Every time I went out to get supplies, I would want to sit there and wait. Just hoping you would be there in front of me. And I'd smile. You would have your sweet grin and hug me," Daryl explained, "And you would kiss me. Then every bad emotion would be pulled out if me like a vacuum."

"Has it been then?" I asked.

"Yes," Daryl kissed me on the head just like he always used to.
