Chapter 7

Antonio's POV
    I was moving closer by each second, my lips were almost on hers, then a painful slap brought me back from the trance i was placed in.
       She began to cry again,and i was the reason behind it. She got off the bonnet and sat in the back of the car.
         I don't know what got into me but all i felt like doing was kissing her, i wonder what she must be feeling now.
      I got off the bonnet and got back into the car, i began to drive, she was quiet, all through the ride. I pulled up once i got home and she got out of the car still looking shocked.
        Nick was infront of the house looming worried he was so happy when he saw Toria.
      Toria! are you okay, I'm so sorry i wasn't there for you. It doesn't matter who's there, in the end the one who is there for us, can't be trusted, she said while looking at me from the side of her eyes.
       Her words,sharply tore me apart, i lost her trust and i didn't know how to fix it. I did the unthinkable.

    I woke up feeling horrible, as lasts night incident flashed through my eyes.
Little did i know that Toria's was worse.
        She hasn't said a word since last night Mrs Yusuf said concerned.
          I know my daughter doesn't talk much, but she still has her silly side even in horrible times, she's positive.
          Mason will pay bitterly, um ma'am, i uh have a confession to make ,i also had a hand in her deteriorating condition. Mrs Yusuf looked at me confused.
       Well i- he didn't take me to get pizza last night so i got mad and ignored everyone Toria cut in and saved me.
       Mum don't stress I'm over it now, Toria said smiling. My goodness i must have really done so much damage that she's already running mad.
        Come on Tonio I'll be late for school, Toria called from the door, I'll be right there.
        I got into the car and Toria was silent again. Um -uh Toria, i am really sorry about last night, i don't know what came over me I'm  really sorry.
        It's okay we all make mistakes . She went silent again and her mom called me up, breaking  the silence.
            She had called to tell me that Toria's psychologist had said, that she needs to go out and have some fresh air.
           I took her to the park, we both had ice-creams , she ran around on the open fields, we went to the malls, the museum and an art gallery,  i was so happy to see her smile and laugh,  it was already getting late so we started to head home.
      It was really quiet, now was my chance to tell her how i felt about her. Toria,  um i want to tell you something.  Okay. I parked the car and looked into her beautiful dark brown eyes, her dark skin glowed andher skin was as clear as glass.
      I um think i like you , i have been thinking about it for days now and i just confirmed my feelings last night, when i almost kissed you.
   Okay.  Just okay,  yeah okay.
As if the universe was out to punish me
FRIENDS by Anne Marie started playing. And by coincidence the volume of the radio suddenly increased when it reached:
F R I E N D S Get that shit inside your head.
That's my answer, Toria  said to me. Okay, i replied awkwardly. Why did Toria have to be so stoic, well it is one of the things that has made me like her.
