CHEMISTRY

School was in for weeks now and every student wished more than ever,for summer break.
  Well it wasn't so boring since the squad was around. I was at my locker when Nick came up to me.
  Hey, he waved Hi i replied. You done with your history assignment?, No i don't offer history dummy. Ouch that hurt. How about your art assignment , i don't do arts either .
     Well how about um-how about you shut up what do you want? i said playfully .
      Was it that bad? Horrible who starts a conversation that way. Alright I'll go straight to the point, Are you free this weekend? Not sure why?
     It's been a long time since we both hung out, we literally had a movie night last night.  That was with the whole squad, i mean just us two.
       I looked at him with an eyebrow raised up. What does us two mean?
Don't get me wrong i mean we both go out to have fun sometimes, like when we first started talking over ice-cream that time.
     Yeah i remember pulling your long hair then, such a shame you got a new haircut now i can't pull your hair i added.
     You're just adorable 😍. Pardon,  i mean you look like a cute puppy when you talk like that.
     I punched his arm , hey what was that for! You called me a puppy 🐶, You keep forgetting you're not a girl, excuse me.
     It's true Tracy added, when did you get here, a while a go ,You both are adorable if you ask me. You're not defending me here.
   Well you aren't a girly girl that is, you're a complete Tomboy Tracy said. I agree Trevor supported.
   Where are you all coming from, Don't call my friend a Tomboy she's a perfect girly girl, Bianca jumped to my defense.
      I knew my bestie would back me up I said. Why else am I your bestie,
  We were walking to the cafeteria as we talked. You know you all are jumping to conclusions Nick said.
   She's a tomboy sometimes
    Girly sometimes
    Quiet sometimes
     Talks much  sometimes
     Tolerant sometimes
     Savage sometimes
She's a hybrid we just can't figure out
Bro that's Deep Trevor said, B***h that's crazy, Tracy remarked, I don't know why you guys don't see it ,he practically knows you inside out Bianca pointed out.
     That's enough guys, let's just eat i said processing what had just happened . Nick looked rather tensed as we munched on our  fries🍟 ,I don't normally do this but i had to find a way to make him feel relaxed again.
        So um Nick was that the poem you were talking about yesterday . I think she'll like it.
    I could see his shoulders relax as i made the statement. Yeah it is. But needs some work though, and why'd you have to say it in the middle of you guys describing me.
      Well I told you I'd get you back for last night Nick replied Moron I said back.
   So who's the she Trevor asked Yeah coz you two just be talking stuff without carrying us along Tracy added.

         It's my-his mom's birthday, we said at the same time. wow can we come over? Bianca asked Um she doesn't really celebrate it ,We said again at the same time. Oh! well we could all just plan a play date with her, you know something to make her day special Tracy persuaded. We're having our family members alone actually Nick pointed out. Oh that's cool Trevor said, by the way why would you call your mom a tomboy Trevor asked with a quirked eyebrow. I'm-his writing it for my-his dad, he doesn't have the time to compose one so, I'm helping him out. Makes sense Bianca said, good luck though, come on Tee we've gotta go.

Bianca and I got to my house, and headed to my room. Bianca laid on my bed , while I grabbed a soda and a bag of chips I sat down on my bean bag. While Bianca was busy on her phone.

            So you both put on quite a show back there Bianca said Huh? what do you mean? I asked. You both were coming up with the same lies, and they matched perfectly without even planning before hand. What lies? I asked playing dumb.

     The lie about the poem, and Nicks mom's birthday. It was very believable, just that you forgot the part, that we can look our parents up on the internet. Not bad, anyways I just wanted to help him I replied unbothered about the fact that she knew the truth.

         Tee are you so blind can't you see you both are mean't for each other, i mean can't you see, your bond is so strong, that you knew exactly what to say each time. It's like you have this spark, you have the perfect chemistry.

     That's enough Bee they were just mere coincidents. I said. Coincidents , Toria are you being serious right now! Bianca scoffed. It's as clear as day that he loves you, I mean I your bestfriend couldn't describe you like he did , he understands you so much. And you were ready to tell so many lies to protect him, You barely tell lies, and for the first time you told more than three lies, just to see him relaxed. You're in love Toria, this is love.

      Look Bee I'm tired i don't need this stress right now, It's getting late I think you should go home. Fine I'll take your leave, but please think about it.

Bianca left and I took a shower, and laid on my bed trying to get some sleep, but I kept tossing and turning thinking about what Bee had said. Was I actually falling in love, and did Nick really like me ? these were the questions playing in my head all night.
