This will be the final chapter of this story. For the time being I'll be writing a new story based on Attack on Titan, except it's a high school AU. In the future I will write more Avatar stories so don't worry. I was thinking about an Avatar high school AU story, I'm just struggling on what I should call the high school.

Ao'nung sits down in front of me. I jump at the sudden appearance. He gently holds my wrist and moves my two fingers so they're pointing outwards.
He places my fingers on his throat then starts to speak. As I read his lips the vibrations from his throat tickle my fingers.
I smile at him and then he places his fingers on my throat. "Speak." He lowers my hand from his throat and waits for me to speak.
I shake my head and look away from him. He gently moves my head to face him again, "Please?"
I roll my eyes and clear my throat. My face goes hot as I speak, "Ao'nung." I avoid eye contact with him but notice he quickly moves his fingers from my throat back to his side.
I look up at him and he quickly looks away from me, he has a dark blue flush on his face. His ears are perked up and pointing in my direction.
I tap his shoulder but he doesn't look at me. I grab both his shoulders and shake him aggressively. He finally looks at me, a bead of sweat runs down his face.
I hold up my hands and begin to sign, "What's wrong?" I can see he's stuttering over his words, it's stopping me from reading his lips.
I gently push him, "Speak cle..arly." I feel my face go even hotter after I stumble over a word.
He immediately covers his whole face after I speak. Is my voice stupid? Is he laughing? My ears lower and I look down towards the floor.
He gently lifts my head up and points to his lips telling me to read them. "Has your voice always been this.. nice?" Ao'nung hesitantly says the last word but when he does he immediately covers his mouth afterwards.
My eyes widen and my tail starts to move rapidly, "What's so nice about it?" I purposefully speak to see his reaction, he covers his ears and his breathing gets heavier.
"Ao'nu-" before I can finish speaking Ao'nung covers my mouth with his hand. He turns his head to look at me and he has a lustful look in his eyes.
The more I stare at them, the more nervous I get. "Okay, I'm sorry." I sign. He removes his hand from over my mouth and stares at me.

"Okay, you know all the basic signs but let's teach you some more complicated ones. Let's do animals first" I've recently noticed Tsireya always smiles when she speaks, probably because I've been staring at peoples lips when they speak.
I nod in response and she holds up her fingers, "This one means, 'Tulkun.'" She moves her hands to her head and makes a 'U' shape with her hands.
I copy her and she smiles in response, "Good!" I blush at her approval then move my hands back to my side.
"Okay and now.. ah! Tsurak!" She puts all her fingers together on both her hands but keeps her thumbs sticking out. She puts her thumbs together and shows me the sign.
I hold my hands up and do the sign for Tsurak. I show her my hands and she holds onto them, "Very good Rua! You are learning it quicker than I did."
I start to get flustered and quickly rush Tsireya, "What signs now?" I move my hands quickly and smoothly, Tsireyas face lights up.
"Now let's do Ilu." She puts all her fingers together on both hands and touches both sides of her head with her hands.
She pulls her hands away from her head while making it seem as though her hands are like waves. "Oh, like the Ilus kurus?" I sign.
"Yes! Now you do the sign." She moves her hands to her sides and watches as I do the sign she did. "Amazing!" She claps her hands and stretches.
"Okay that's all for today, keep practising the ones you know and the ones we learnt today." She stands up and waves goodbye.
I goodbye back and smile. When she's eventually out of sight I go over the signs I know one more time. Tulkun, Tsurak, and Ilu.
I get up and look around, I see Spider sat by himself just staring at the floor. I quickly walk over to him and sit in front of him. I quickly realise Spider doesn't understand the Metkayina sign language so I end up building up the courage to speak.
"You okay, Spider?" He looks at me, almost as if he's only realised I was there. He moves his hair out his face and his eyes are pretty red.
He holds back a frown and looks away from me, "I'm sorry." I didn't manage to read his lips since he turned away from me. I tap his shoulder and he looks at me again.
I point to my lips and he says "Oh, sorry. I was just saying that.. I'm sorry." I tilt my head in response, I'm assuming he's sorry about me going deaf. But he's making it seem like it's his fault.
"It isn't your fault." I rest my hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He slowly shakes his head and his eyes fill with tears.
I pull him into a hug and stroke the back of his neck. After a while we both pull away and he wipes his eyes. "None of this was your fault."
"Okay.." Spider takes a deep breath and looks down at the ground.
"Also, if you go see Tsireya or Rotxo they'll help you out with sign language and holding your breath. You'll need it." I get up and smile at him, he does a quick smile in return and I walk away.
I trust Spider with my whole heart. He has never and will never do anything that will harm my family, I hope.
