Taehyun showed up to school the next day, although not wanting to, hoping to see his long-haired hyung somewhere. But as lunchtime rolled around, he hadn't seen the older even once.

He knew for sure that Yeonjun would know where Beomgyu is, but Taehyun felt too ashamed to ask. Like, think about it, if you rejected someone's best friend in front of them and almost everyone else they knew, wouldn't you feel a bit embarrassed or awkward when asking about that said person you rejected?

Taehyun wanted to cry so badly. Life was near perfect just a few days ago. And now all of this drama sparked up because Taehyun was being a pushover. A people-pleaser. A dumbass. When Beomgyu confessed, Taehyun should've told Beomgyu what he actually felt. He should've let himself be selfish for once in his life. Because truthfully, Taehyun wants Beomgyu all to himself. But instead, he let his parents' words get trapped inside his head.  He should've gone for the older when he had the chance. But now, it was much too late. Beomgyu probably hated him now..

Taehyun abruptly turned around, wanting nothing more than to skip lunch and run to the restroom so he could let his tears free. But as he started to walk out of the lunchroom, he bumped into someone. Luckily, Taehyun thought, neither of them fell. He went to apologize but the words got caught in his throat as he saw who he'd bumped into. Yeonjun.

Taehyun stood there, probably looking like a fool, with his lips ever so slightly parted and his eyes a bit wider than usual.

"Taehyun?"

"Y-Yeonjun.. hyung?"

Yeonjun heaved a large sigh, "Oh, Taehyun, I'm so glad I ran into you. I'm so sorry for yesterday."

Taehyun was confused about why the older was the one apologizing. If anything, shouldn't it be him?

"Hyung, what are you sorry for? If anything, I should be the one sorry for turning Beomgyu hyung down in front of all those people—"

"No, there's no reason to be sorry Taehyunnie. If you don't like Beomgyu, then you don't like him—"

"But I do!" he blurted. "I-I do like Beomgyu. I was just.. s-scared."

"Really?!" the older asked, his eyes wide with shock. "Oh, thank fuck! You need to go tell him!" Yeonjun encouraged the other. But Taehyun felt doubt toward the taller's suggestion.

"But isn't it too late?.. Wouldn't Beomgyu.. h-hate me by now?"

Yeonjun scoffed, "Oh please. That boy is too in love with you to ever hate you.."

"I-in love with me..?" Taehyun repeated incredulously. Beomgyu was in love with him? Now he felt ten times more guilty for his reaction..

Yeonjun sported a shocked expression. "Uhh.. I-I wasn't supposed to say that.."

There was a moment of pause between the two.

"UH, ANYWAY— Y-YOU SHOULD GO VISIT BEOMGYU. Y'KNOW, A-AT HIS HOUSE," Yeonjun loudly said with an awkward laugh at the end.

Taehyun stared at the older weirdly for a moment. "...Okay..?"

"Yeah, uh.. you should be on your way now, I guess.."

"But.. what about school..?"

Yeonjun rolled his eyes and waved a dismissive hand, "Psh, forget school. Nobody likes it here anyways, you won't miss much."

"B-but I like—"

"GO GET YOUR MAN, TERRY." Taehyun jumped from Yeonjun's suddenly loud tone, but quickly straightened himself out. "R-right. B-Beomgyu hyung."

Figuring they'd been standing in the middle of the cafeteria for far too long now, Yeonjun turned and pushed the younger out of the lunchroom. "RUN TERRY! RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK!" he encouraged Taehyun as the younger walked closer to the entrance.

Taehyun smiled at his hyung and apologized to his future self before bolting out of the front double doors, not caring if anyone thought he was weird or if any teachers saw him and decided to punish him the next day.

He needed to get to his hyung.
