Alex POV

I’m so thankful that it’s Saturday. I couldn’t deal another day of being told what to think and how to think. I looked over to the clock to see what time it was. I groaned because it was only 10. Why the hell wasn’t I still sleeping? Oh well, the early bird catches the worm I guess. I swung my legs off the bed, stood up and started to make my way toward the bathroom. I decided that since I smelled like an onion that was cut and left out for a couple days, I would take a shower. I retrieved a towel and placed it on my toilet so what I got out, it was right within arm’s reach. I turned the hot water on, then adjusted the amount of cold water that I wanted to create the perfect shower temperature. After I was satisfied with the temperature of the water, I jumped in. The first thing I did was wash my hair. I love my hair more than life itself. After a solid two minutes of scrubbing, I wash the soup out.

Five minutes later, I step out of the shower and grab the towel that I placed on the toilet. After I dry my body, I wrap the towel around my waist and go into my room to pick out some clothes for the day. It took me at least 20 minutes to finally settle on a New Found Glory shirt and some black skinny jeans. I throw the towel next to the door. I quickly put my clothes back on and go back into the bathroom to work on my hair. After another 30 minutes and many burns from my straightener later, I am finally satisfied with the way I look. I start to hear my iPhone vibrating rapidly. I walk back into my room to retrieve the phone. It’s my mom. “Hello?” “Hi Alex. Glad to see you’re early. I need you to do me a favor. Can you run over to Sam’s Club and grab a cookie cake? Your dad has been complaining that he want’s something sweet in the house. My Sam’s Club membership card is on the desk.” “Yeah sure. Does dad want one with or without frosting on the top?” “Get him the one without. He doesn’t need all of the frosting. Thanks Alex.” I opened the weather app on my phone to check the temperature. It was only 62 degrees outside. I definitely didn’t need a hoodie. I went downstairs, grabbed the Sam’s Club card, my keys, and slipped on my shoes. I crawled into my tiny Cavalier and made the journey over to Sam’s Club.

It was never easy to find a spot at Sam’s Club. After circling the parking lot about 5 times, I finally managed to find a spot.

I walked into Sam’s Club and ran right to the bakery. I walked over to the cookie cakes and grabbed the first one I saw. My mouth was water because let’s face it, cookie cake is delicious! After paying for the cake, I walked back to my tiny car. I fired it up and headed for home. I passed the Dairy Queen that Jack and I enjoyed our ice cream at. A smile crept its way onto my face to think about how adorable the boy was eating his Oreo blizzard and telling me a story. Then the next thing I knew, my phone started to vibrate signaling that I had a text message. ‘Jack: Hey(:’ I swear the boy must know when I think about him. Since it was against the law to text and drive, I decided to wait until I got home to reply since I was only about a minute away from my house.

After I pulled into my driveway, I grabbed my phone and the cake and started to go inside. I placed the cookie cake on the counter and decided that it was time for me to reply to Jack.

‘Alex: Hi(: What’s Up?’

‘Jack: Not much. Just woke up. I had a dream about you :p’

‘Alex: I hope it wasn’t one of those dreams where I died. I would be sad. :(‘

‘Jack: Nope. I would’ve cried. I’d miss you. D:’

‘Alex: Awe(: Any plans for the day?’

Before I sent that, I could hear Alyssa giggling from excitement in my head. That was creepy.

‘Jack: Nope. Just planned on sitting in my room all day. Doing nothing at all.’

‘Alex: You should come over! I mean, I just bought this huge cookie cake and would like some company for the day. (:’
