Chapter 3

This chapter contains Koda being completely out of character

It was quirk training. The students and dogs went outside. They trained for a few hours, then the inevitable happened. Something shocked Gunner's eyes. "I can't see!" Gunner wailed. "I can't see!"

"Oh shit! I'm so sorry! I wasn't even trying to use my quirk!" Kaminari said. "Gunner!" Koda cried. He knelt next to his dog. "Are you being serious?!" "I am!" Gunner whimpered. "I can't see anything!" "Please tell me you're joking!" Kirishima said.

"Why would I be joking over something this serious?" Gunner whined. "Oh my God!" Kaminari said. "I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean it! I wasn't even trying to use my quirk! I don't know how that happened!"

"I get that it was an accident, but there's a chance that Gunner may never be able to see again!" Koda yelled angrily. That was the only time anyone has ever heard Koda get angry, let alone yell. "Honestly. Have more control over your damn quirk!"

"Koda, I just want you to know, I am really, really, really, really sorry!" Kaminari said. "That's the first time I've ever heard Koda cuss..." Mina muttered. "Oh shit..." Sero whispered. "Goddamn, Koda..." Kirishima said.

"Shut up, I'm not in the mood," Koda snarled. "Koda, this isn't like you at all!" Aizawa said. "You've never gotten angry, let alone yelled or cussed! I don't know what got into you, but I will have to punish you!"

"I don't give a fuck!" Koda hissed. "I'm more worried about Gunner than punishments!" "Shit, he has some guts to be talking back!" Mina whispered. "Oh damn," Sero said. "I said... SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Koda snarled.

"Koda, what has gotten into you?!" Aizawa demanded. "I know you're worried about Gunner, but you're never bad-tempered at all!" "I don't care what you say!" Koda said. "It's my life and I can do whatever I want! Kaminari blinded my damn dog, for fuck's sake!"

"I never thought I'd say this, but I'm kind of scared of Koda now..." Mina said. "I second that," Sato chimed in. The only response they got this time was Koda giving them the middle finger. "Koda, you need to calm down," Aizawa said calmly. "I'm sorry for getting angry, but you really need to calm down."

"Kaminari blinded my fucking dog!" Koda snarled. "Why are you so protective over that damn mutt?!" Bakugo asked. "I get it, he's your dog, but you're not usually like this with other animals!" "Whatever," Koda growled under his breath.

"Koji, listen to me, please," Gunner barked. "What Denki did to me was an accident. I forgive him and I'm the one he harmed. If I'm forgiving him, you should too. I don't even think he was the one who did it. He didn't act dumb after using his quirk." "Was that an insult?" Kaminari asked.

"Yeah, kinda," Gunner said. "But my point is, forgiveness is good, and you shouldn't get angry at something happening to your friend if your friend already forgives it. Plus, I'm already regaining my vision. I'll be okay." "I guess you're right," Koda said. "I'm sorry."

"Good, but you'll still have to be punished for what you did," Aizawa said. "You will have to do anything anyone tells you to do every day for a week, not including stuff that requires harming yourself or someone else." "I understand," Koda sighed. "I accept this punishment."

Little did they know, a few students from Class 1B was there. "Hah, out of all people, he was punished?!" the blonde boy laughed. "Oh, shut up, Monoma," Bakugo snarled. "He was angry at Kaminari because he almost blinded his dog!"

"He didn't almost blind me!" Gunner snarled. "It wasn't Denki! He's not acting like an idiot! I smell a dog scent, a Pit Bull's scent! And a male at that! Might've been him!" "Don't be stupid! Dogs don't have quirks!" Monoma said. One student nudged him. "Monoma, the dog spoke. He does have a quirk."
