Chapter 1

Tony POV

I was outside our apartment building, smoking a cigarette because I knew Erin hated the smell of them. It was a bad habit of mine, that I picked up Junior year of high school.

I usually smoke a cigarette before and after work. And right now, its after work. I worked at the music shop down the street. I just started and it was good pay. I had quit my other job, the boss was unreasonable.

I put the cigarette out and walked towards my part of the apartments, pulling my phone out. This was mainly to distract myself from all the chaos going on outside.

I opened the door to find it was empty. I set my stuff down on the counter, walking to the room and that's when I saw it. My girlfriend liplocking with some other guy.

"What the hell is this?" Erin and the guy separated quickly, jumping a little.

"Uh, hi honey. Can we talk?" She said walking towards me. I just caught her cheating and she wants to talk?

"Yea. Talk about this. When were you going to tell me about this?" I said pointing between them. She turned and looked at him then to me.

"See, what happened was....he um-"

"You know what, I'm leaving. Call when this is over." The mysterious guy said standing up to leave.

The room was filled with an uncomfortable silence and until she spoke up. "You know, I wouldn't have done that if you would be a little more caring to my needs."

"What?! Are you serious? I am nothing but caring to your needs." She just rolled her eyes, walking to the other room.

"Sure, you're nice and sweet but Jesse. He is so much more." Thanks. I cant believe this. I just stared at her. Six years, we have been together and now she's unhappy.

"I think it'll be best if you move out, maybe stay in a hotel until you find a place of your own."

"Are you kicking me out my own freaking apartment?! This is ridiculous. You get caught then decide that you're actually in love with this Jesse guy." She looked up at me, glaring.

"Yea, well since I'm so in love, you have five days to move out because Jesse's moving in." She said smirking. Why did I open my mouth?

"Whatever, I'll be back." I started walking to the one place I know will calm me down.

I can't believe this. I was nothing but loving and caring towards her and then to be told that I wasn't. And on top of that, I'm getting kicked out of my own apartment.

I swing the door open, obviously not surprised its not locked. I walk in and see unknown people watching TV.

"Hello!" Jaime looks at me and chuckles to himself.

"Do you know how to knock? Most people don't barge into someone's house." I roll my eyes.

"Most people don't leave the door unlocked, you know someone can come in and murder you."

"Whatever. So what's up?" He askd curiously. "You were just here yesterday so I figured you wouldn't be back in like a week."

"Erin, is whats up. She kicked me out. Permanently." The mood went from playful to serious at the mention of Erin.

"Oh. That sucks. I'm guessing your here to stay." I nodded. "This is possibly the worst time to wanna stay Jess's parents are staying over and you know how that is."

"Okay, then." I say as if I'm not disappointed. I remember that he has two other people sitting with him. "So, who are they?"

I pointed towards the short Mexican and the taller one sitting next to him. As if, hearing me mention them, they look my direction and stand to introduce themselves.

"Hey, I'm Vic and that's my little yet taller brother, Mike." The short one said shaking my hand.

"Got it." I look to Jaime, and find him giving the guy by the name of Mike a confused look.

"So I couldn't help but hear, you need a place to crash for a while." Vic said, trying to start conversation.

"Uh, yea. Actually I better get going for that." I wave a goodbye and start walking to the door.

"You could stay at my place for a little while, It'll save you money." Mike said in a rushed tone.

"Umm..." Jaime looked over at me and I think he got the message. "Mike's okay. We've been friends for a while. I trust that he won't do anything bad."

Well I guess if Jaime said he's okay then I guess he is. See, Jaime has been my friend since Elementary. We met, fighting over a table for 'our clique'. It was funny, we tormented each other for so long, that one day we just started laughing about it.

"Okay. Well I guess we're buddies." I say.

"Yep." He had this huge grin on his face that I didn't know if I should be creeped out by or just smile back.

"You wanna check the place then you can get your stuff. I'll take you if you don't want to walk." I nodded. And we were out the door.

So there's the first chapter. Sorry if it's a crappy one, just bare with me cuz I can promise that it gets better. I tried to make it 1,000 words but I was like a 30 words short. Btw, Updates come every other day unless something comes up.
