Carmen's Pov
Everything was pretty silent in the house, just the way I like it. Honestly, I think it would be nice if Sage would give in she could maybe sit on my face when it's quiet like this. I smiled to myself at the thought of us being able to get sexual at some point, but I'm not going to force her to do anything. I want everything to be natural, I want her experience with me to be special.
"Yo." Zen came walking down the stairs.
I rolled my eyes pouring myself another drink. "I hope you not coming over here with your bullshit ass lecture you know I ain't listening to shit."
I turned back around slowly while he flopped down on my couch.
"Gentle on my shit!" I raised my voice a bit.
"Your talking about a lecture but look at you."
"Well your not paying for shit in here." I threw a pillow that was on the sofa next to me.
He caught the pillow while laughing, I couldn't help but laugh with him. I hate to admit this but sometimes I really need those little lectures he comes running his mouth with. I guess you can say he's the only source of sense I have.
"Listen real talk you gotta work on your temper around Sage." The laughs stopped while the serious energy took over.
He was right but "It's not like everything about me is going to change over night, plus it's not my fault these niggas be trying me. I'll never let anyone think they can disrespect me in any way."
"Look nobody is going to disrespect you, and if they doI guess whatever it is you need to do it can be done out of her sight. You know all that you gotta do is say a word to us."
"I can do it myself." I looked off to the side avoiding anymore eye contact.
"You want her to warm up to you or not? I can tell you now she's terrified of you and the rest of us, including me and I know I'm not a scary person." He pointed at himself.
"You don't know her!" I snapped at him getting upset, he thinks he has the answers to everything. He thinks everything is just easy to do. "Everyone don't move just like you Zen."
He stood up walking over to me. "You don't know her either Carmen and you might not get the chance to know her if you keep this mindset. Learn to make people feel comfortable especially if you expect some type of love from them." He pushed my shoulder a little before walking out of the room.
I shook my head licking on my bottom lip just thinking about everything he said.
