High Stakes

Tae-hyung pushed through everyone to find Q lying on a table with a white cloth covering everything except his face. Bo-Gum followed closely behind him.

He stood beside Q and closed his eyes with a tight expression. "He was my best informer." He turned to Bo-Gum. "Did they mention how he died?"

Bo-Gum looked away. Tae just sighed. "This means we have a mole in our company. Q was a professional. Someone had to have been bribed."

"Sir, may I?" He gestured to covering Q up. Tae nodded and as he reached forward Tae saw a very expensive watch on his wrist. Bo-Gum covered Q and Tae smiled at him. "Hey, isn't that a Cartier watch? I saw it released a couple months ago. How did you get it?"

"It was a gift." Bo-Gum replied simply. His expression was neutral and didn't reveal anything. Neither did his voice or body language indicate anything.

"Huh."

Tae-hyung left him under suspicion to hear a call from an old friend and associate of his.

"RM? What's the surprise call?"

"I wanted to ask...you told me to look into Ji-Sook right? A crime boss?"

"Yes. Did you find anything?"

"Not a lot but I could probably find more if I had a picture. Do you have any?"

Tae rubbed his face in frustration. "Sending a photo of a private case is against the rules here. I guess if she was dead it would be a different story but that's unlikely to happen."

"Oh, ok. Don't worry, then! I'll update you as soon as I can!"

"It was nice talking to you again, RM."

"Same here, V." He said with a smile in his voice.

Tae hung up with a groan. You're so elusive Ji-Sook, but I will catch you one day. And that day will be the end for you.

Ji-Sook sat in a bubbled bath. Her eyes closed against the stress. Her back had been hurting for so long and she hadn't had a release in a few days from so much work.

Soojoo was always ready when she was but the timing of deals always seemed to make her come home late and she would be too tired. Soojoo was too much of a cuddler for her taste but she had a great body.

Then she felt a hand rest on her arm and she pulled out her gun she had been holding under the water. Her eyes shot open and Soojoo was sitting there on the edge of the tub with only a white towel covering her. Her eyes were wide with fear.

"Do you always have a gun with you?"

Ji-Sook narrowed her eyes. "Always. I use guns and women the same way." She smirked and raised an eyebrow. "There is always a risk and....satisfaction when I use both." Soojoo just stared with dark eyes never wavering.

Ji-Sook stood out of the water with the droplets of water falling off her slender naked body. Soojoo's lips parted in desire as her cheeks became flushed. Ji-Sook bent down and held her girlfriend's face before giving her a harsh kiss that had Soojoo moaning. Then she pulled away to wear her robe and walked out of the bathroom to grab a towel to dry her hair.

Soojoo followed behind her and said, "Risk?..." she chuckled lightly. "We've been dating for a year. I would risk my life you. You know that right?"

Ji-Sook turned around and gave her gun. She raised an eyebrow. "Do it then."

Soojoo widened her eyes in shock and took the gun with trembling hands. Ji-Sook gave a faulty smile and said again, "Do it."

She turned back around to the mirror and continued to wipe her hair absentmindedly.
