It was just another day for King Fokrunri to get up to begin his day. Least it was supposed to be like any other typical day, but one of his guards was being attacked mercilessly by a snowy white owl. "Who's owl is that?" the king pondered. It would seem that he would get his answer pretty quickly because when that very owl saw him she flew right over to him and landed on his shoulder.

"Haah!" the guard who was attacked yelled in annoyance. "Don't worry Your Majesty, I'll get rid of that bird there. Not sure who even let the thing in the throne room to begin with." that very same guard muttered out.

"It's fine Brody." the king murmured. Blonde, dreadlocks gently hung over a long wild face. Lidded brown eyes, set elegantly within their sockets, glance at the owl atop his shoulder. He had a few scars reaching from the right side of the forehead, running towards his left nostril and ending on his left nostril leaves memories of past battles he partook in. King Fokrunri stood tall above his people, despite his sturdy frame he was considered a defender of the people like he should be. Fokrunri could always be seen in clean formal clothes. He reached up to gently pet the owl, "Now what do you have for me?"

Hedwig barked and clicked her beak at the guard, daring him to try anything with her. She has a very important package that her chick asked her to deliver and she intended to see it through. She glanced back at the man she was meant to see and dug around in her carrier bag, after finding out about the expansion charms the elves put in she stuck the package in the bag for safe keeping. It took a few moments but letting out a bark that suspiciously sounded like Ah Ha! She pulled the package out with the note attached and handed it over to the man.

King Fokrunri took one look at the letter, flipped it over and saw the house symbol. He quickly glanced at the bird, "Are you his?" he indicated to the letter in his hand. Hedwig clicked her beak and bobbed her head to confirm. "Well now.." He glanced at Brody, "Get this magnificent bird something to eat and drink. She's flown a great distance to get here."

"Yes Your Majesty." Brody saluted by crossing his right arm over his chest, having his fist against his heart, and went to do as asked, Hedwig having hopped over to his shoulder and left with him.

The King flipped the envelope over and pulled out the small missive,

King Fokrunri,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Hadrian Pendragon and as you are aware our families have a standing alliance with each other. It pains me to say this but I was raised by The Dursleys,

It better not be those vile humans I'm thinking of! King Fokrunri scowled at the part of the letter thinking dark thoughts.

and yes those very same ones you're thinking of.

Seriously?! His scowled turned fiercer a murderous aura surrounding him. I think I need to send a message back questioning him about this.

But I digress, we should meet and have these discussions you're thinking about right now.

Fine! We can meet at a later date! The king scowled, annoyed that the brat could read him like an opened book. He's. Not. Even. Here! How can he know what I'm thinking?!

This cloak that I sent you, as you know, is a family heirloom and as such is to be treated as such. The asshat sent it back to me this Yule but he failed to say he tampered with it.

"What?!" The King bellowed out. "Tampered?!" He glared furiously at the letter before opening the package. He didn't have to touch the cloth to know there were compulsions on it followed by loyalty charms and various other potions. "That damn fool! Does he even know who he's messing with?" He sighed before turning back to the missive.
