I awake to Regal Warrior whining in a panicked manner.

"What?" I say aloud, refusing to open my eyes.

She keeps whining and scratches at my brain.

"What?!" I yell getting agitated.

She sniffles dramatically as if it's obvious. With a sigh I sniff the air.

"It smells like my room." I say blankly.

Suddenly it hits me and I push myself off my stomach, eyes flying open.

"It smells like my room!"

I quickly look around the room to find I'm alone. Almost tripping myself in the process I leap out of bed and race to the bathroom and throw the door open. Empty. In a panic, I throw open the door and race downstairs. I follow the sound of laughter and burst into the kitchen to find Lilicine sitting at the table with Sage, whom has put his white shirt back on, eating chocolate pancakes. I sigh with relief and they turn to look at me. Sage's eyes flash copper for a split second before returning to green.

"I like your boyfriend!" Lilicine announces loudly.

"Nice bra." My mom says walking past me to place a plate of bacon on the table.

I look down to see my tank top twisted and pulled down, partially revealing my bright red bra covered in black lace. With a shriek I quickly fix it as Lilicine burst out laughing.

"Smooth sis." She cries.

"Shut up, you're like twelve." I say usuing my and Zach's usual comeback to her.

I take a deep breath and slide into the seat next to Sage and he smiles goofily.

"Good morning sleepy head."

"Morning. Thanks for the heart attack." I mumble sliding a few pancakes onto my plate.

"Did I scare you?" He asks cocking his head to the side and furrowing his brow.

"You just disappeared! Of course you scared me." I cry before snatching a piece of bacon and biting it.

He chuckles slightly and smiles again.

"Sorry." He says grabing my hand and placing a kiss on the back of it.

Lilicine places her head in the palm of her hand and sighs deeply.

"I want my mate to be like that."

My mother places a plate full of toast on the table before examining my shoulder. She then slaps it with the wooden spoon.

"Ow!" I yell.

"Prude." She says walking away.

"Mom!" I screech.

She points the spoon at Sage whom leans away.

"Don't you glare at me. I would never actually harm my own daughter. And I'm not going to hurt you either." She says and he relaxes. "I need you here to mark her and take her off the market for those unmarked hounds."

"Mother!" I yell as Lilicine laughs so hard she has to hold on to the table to keep from falling off her chair.

"What's going on? I can hear you from all the way upstairs."

We turn to see Zach standing in the doorway rubbing his head, messing up his already messy brown hair.

"Your mother was upset I didn't mark her." Sage says leaning around me to look at Zach.

"Sage!" I cry spinning around to look at him.

Zach bursts into laughter and points at me.

"Let me guess, she called you a prude!" He cries with a laugh.
