3. Here I Am

Izuku POV

That man isn't a hero.

Izuku: 'He just said he wasn't. He said that he's 'here to help'. So he's a vigilante? Doesn't he know that's illegal?
And... he said his name was (Y/n)?'

Judging from his reaction and the look on his face now, he most likely doesn't. Is he not from here?

Where could he have come from to not know that?

"What's going on now?"

"Who is that?"

"Another villain?"

"Gah, what was that?!"

Me, the crowd, and the group of heroes reeled back at his sudden transformation.

Even the man did when he turned back into himself.

'(Y/n)': "Sorry! God, I'm so sorry!
That came out of nowhere! I'm- That's new! I just started working with it!"

Izuku: 'Did he just shapeshift?! I didn't know what that was he transformed into... but it was still amazing!
I've never seen a shapeshifting Quirk in real life until now!'

I've never written about people who weren't heroes, but after what he did, I can't pass this opportunity up!

Izuku: *muttering* "A shapeshifting Quirk! That... doesn't explain how he was able to knock out the villain so easily... Maybe he can take on the characteristics of whatever he turns into? If he had taken on the form of a non-lethal projectile, that would make sense. But with shapeshifting alone, he couldn't have created the momentum and force needed to incapacitate someone that size. And from that distance away? I didn't see him anywhere nearby! A long-distance speed-burst ability, too?"

(Y/n): "Why are you guys looking at me like that?"

Izuku: 'Wait a minute!' *muttering* "The hits he took from contact with the villain and landing on the pavement! Another Quirk that enhances durability? Factoring in the acceleration and height of those impacts, not just anyone can brush them off the way he did. Could he have more than one Quirk or do they all stem from his shapeshifting ability?"

I think some people in the crowd wanted pictures, but it looked like one situation was turning into another, so most of them did as Back-Draft said and left. Others stayed behind to see what was happening now, like I did. I actually got closer to hear what was going on.

When he turned back to himself, I could hear the commotion as the heroes once again tried to arrest him.

Death-Arms: " Sorry kid, but you're coming with us!"

Death-Arms made to grab him, but he swiftly moved to the side and moved all the way behind him. And did he call him kid?

(Y/n): "Hey, what are you doing?!"

He does look and sound younger now that I get a better look at him.

Backdraft: "You've been placed under arrest! Do not continue to resist!"

(Y/n): "I don't wanna go to jail! What did I do wrong?!"

Kamui: "Mt. Lady, we could use some help!"

The heroes tried to catch him while he dodged, weaved, and moved around and away from their attempts! They all gave chase, except for Mt. Lady. She must have wanted to avoid stepping on anyone with her Giant Quirk, and only watched the altercation like she was deciding her next move.
