Jiara // One Shots

Story 1

All of the small things that you do are what remind me why I fell for you.

It's been 3 months since they came back from El Dorado. The Pogues have decided to tell no one about the money until they turn 18, so their parents won't try to mess with them or something.
JJ and Kiara didn't really need to announce the news of their couple to the others, they kind of figured out just by seeing their eyes and the smile on their faces.

It was a basic afternoon for the Pogues, everyone was going about their own business, doing who knows what. Kiara decided to take JJ to the beach, one no one knows about, empty most of the time. She wanted to enjoy the day with her boyfriend with no one around to talk about how a 'kook' could be with a 'pogue'.
And it happened a lot, well only when they run into Kooks.
She knows JJ was taking so much on himself to not punch them because he knew Kiara didn't like when he fought. And she also knew even though he won't say a thing about it, JJ was hurt every time, reminding him of where he came from and break a little more his self-esteem.

JJ always flipped when it came to relationships. To be honest, his life hasn't been any good help, his mom leaving him didn't really help either and let's not even talk about his dad. But still, he was one of the most loving person Kiara Carrera has known her entire life; but JJ just didn't know how to receive it back. And the girl made a promise to herself that she'll change that.

"You know I love you, right?" Kiara suddenly rosed on her elbows and looked deeply into JJ's eyes looking for an honest answer.

"Uh Yeah?" JJ flinched a bit, Kiara was suddenly being sentimental when literally two seconds before she was teasing him about something random.

She brought out the question out of nowhere. Not that JJ never heard the 'L' word from her; they have been dating for months now; but he still wasn't really getting how a girl like her, amazing, smart and successful, would want to be with him, a Maybank, a boy from the cut.

"Jayj-" She broke, she knew he still thought he didn't deserve her, he didn't deserve love.

"I do Kie, I really do. I just...I just still don't get why, I mean look at-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence JJ Maybank!" Kie was really serious right now and she almost raised her voice, and when she realised it, she calmed down.
"Jayj...if I need to enumerate you every single day the infinite reasons why I'm in love with you I will. Seriously, you know I will." she smiled cupping his face with her hands.

"Kie..I...Sorry. Fuck. I'm such a shitty boyfriend, right? I mean, look at the guy, he's not even able to give you a proper relationship."
JJ tried to joke but his eyes were saying the opposite and he lowered his head to fix his hands playing with his rings.

"No, you're not a shitty boyfriend. I wouldn't trade the relationship we have for anything in the world." Kiara was still smiling, and rubbed his cheeks with her thumbs.

"Hmmm not even baby turtles?" he finally looked at her, with a smirk on his face this time.

"Okay well, maybe." Kiara smiled, he made her laugh, but JJ knows the girl, he knew humor will not end the serious conversation they were about to have.

"Jayj" she continued after a pause. "Damn dude I wish you could see yourself through my eyes."

She was still smiling but she was really serious at the moment, she seriously couldn't get how amazing JJ was and him not seeing it.

Suddenly, Kiara's eyes lit up and she joined their hands together.
"Okay. Without thinking. Tell me what's your biggest wish right now!"

"What? Kie-" JJ was confused.

"Just answer the question! Please."

"Fine. Hmm...I don't know. Pizza maybe." he didn't know what was the point in playing this "game" and as JJ being JJ all he wanted right now was to eat.

"Seriously JJ." Honestly, she wasn't really surprised by his answer, she didn't expect him to answer her seriously first.

"Listen." she stopped and searched the right words so he will not try to make a joke out of it. "You've always helped us, all the Pogues, get what we wanted even when death was an option."

"Yeah hard to forget." He could count with both hands all the time he almost died to save John B's ass, or Pope's, or everyone's, but JJ didn't care, he never blinked twice doing it and he will do it again without any regrets.
"But I don't see your point Kiara. I'd rather have a pizza right now than talk about myself."
Typical JJ, the girl thought. But she was too concerned about him to let that go and JJ knew it.

"C'mon JJ. What do you want? Anything really, what do you truly want? Tell me Jayj...please." She almost begged, pointing her finger to his chest.

How could he resist those eyes? He knew the discussion was important to her, and when she looks at him the way she does, he could never refuse her anything.

"You." For the first time since an hour JJ was more serious than ever. But he just couldn't let it out more than in a whisper.

"I can't hear you dude."

"You. I want you Kiara." He realized he raised his voice a bit too much, but who cares, no one except the two of them were here.

Kiara's smile grew bigger and her eyes lit up again. She took his chin in her hand and placed her forehead against his.

"Then, be selfish baby. I'm all yours. You deserve to get what you want. You deserve everything." she whispered and JJ finally let go.

For one minute straight he believed. He believed maybe if the girl in front of him, in his arms, was still there after every shit he did, maybe he deserved her. And God knows how much he loves her.

"You know I...I love you, Kie." he whispered but she heard him this time.

She kissed him, a passionate and long kiss. None of their kisses were like the others but this one was something.

"I know you do. I love you so much. All of you."
