The unspoken rules of human interaction:
Be funny, still polite. Polite, though not awkward.
Be friendly, not too friendly.
Charisma can cover all sorts of cracks.
Conversation following a strict regime,
Yet with a pressure to be interesting.
Interesting, or being what they want you to be?
How does one fit in if these rules were never taught?
Growing up with no societal figures to emulate.
Now constantly having to remind myself,
I am a person. I am real/ly here.
Society is unwelcoming to those born outside of it.
