I walked in the classroom shaking as I took tiny steps inside.

"Ah, hello Evangeline! Students, this is the new transfer student that is in our class now!"

I felt like crying. My eyes were starting to get sour but I held it in as much as I could. I was standing in front of the classroom as people were staring at me.

"Well, you can go ahead and introduce yourself!"

I couldn't do it.

I looked down at the floor and started fidgeting with my fingers while trying to control my breathing.

"It's okay, no need to be shy. I'm right here with you."I felt a little relieved and got one thing off of my chest because she was next to me. But I couldn't bear to look at the people as they were waiting for me to introduce myself so I looked away at the walls or at something as I was about to speak.

"H-Hi, my name is Evangeline Min."

There was also something I realized. All of these people are glaring and judging me like I'm some kind of thing. One thing I knew is that they know about the incident because why else would they be looking at me the way they are now.

"Alright, does anybody want to sit with Evangeline Min? Raise your hand if you do."

Nobody raised their hand.

I stood there like a fool waiting until somebody's hand was raised. That's right, why would anybody want to sit with somebody like me in the first place?

"Well . . . Evangeline Min, why don't you go sit in the back right corner next to that girl where the window is at?"

I looked to see where I was going to sit. As I was looking, my desk partner was sleeping while facing the window. "Okay."

I walked to my desk as I heard kids snickering at me. I tried to ignore it as much as I could until somebody put their leg down on the side and stopped me from going to my desk.

"Hey, aren't you the girl from this morning that pushed and spilled Gatorade all over Leon just because he wanted to walk with you?"

I looked away and continued walking to my desk.

"Pfft, look at you! You look like you're about to cry."

They were right about one thing, I did feel like crying. But why isn't that person stopping? And why isn't the teacher saying anything? Isn't she a nice person who welcomed me?

I glanced at the teacher and she was sitting on her desk while being on her phone.

I knew it was too good to be true, she didn't even care.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!"

I realized I was spacing out then returned back to normal. "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you."

As I kept walking I finally reached my desk and sat down. I looked at the girl that was sleeping next to me. I should have asked her for her name and talked with her, but I still felt peoples gazes as I felt uncomfortable, looking down at my desk.

I continued hearing whispers from other people.

"Who does she think she even is. ."

"That girl probably thought she was the stuff after doing that. So cocky for what?"

I just wanted this class to end. Yet, I'm not ready for any others. Hopefully I'm not in any classes with Evan because it would've been even worse if that was the case.

As the teacher was continuing the lesson, the girl next to me woke up and got up from laying down. It seems she has awoken from her slumber.

I took a quick glance at her to see what she looked like but she was already staring at me and we both made eye contact.
