Applejack and Rarity stared in solemn silence at the graves of their four, now gone, friends. A tear slipped down Rarity's cheek. "What kind of sick pony would do this?" She asked for the umpteenth time. AJ shook her head, "If Ah knew Ah would tell ya. Ah miss 'em so much already." Her eyes welled up with tears, but she blinked to keep them away.
Slowly, Rarity read over the graves. Here lies Fluttershy. Element of Kindness and wonderful friend to ponies and animals alike. Here lies Rainbow Dash. Element of Loyalty and the bravest Pegasus you would ever know. The dress pony turned to the largest grave, made only for a princess. Here lies Princess Twilight Sparkle. Element of Friendship, and Magic. A grand leader, and even better friend to all. The last grave was made for the one and only. Here lies Pinkamina Diane Pie. Element of Laughter and a super-duper party pony who will make you smile no matter what the stakes.
Another tear found its way down the unicorn's muzzle. Applejack growled to herself, "By Celestia, I'll hunt down the pony who did this and give 'em a piece of ma mind." Angry tears spilled down her face. Rarity sighed in sadness, staring at the dirt below her. At any other time, she would be crying out at the disgusting dust. But now that her friends were gone, she had to embody some of their elements. Laugh it off like Pinkie, be brave like Rainbow, be kind and give it to some pony in need like Flutters, or be logical and realize that it's just dirt, and not
something to be afraid of, like Twilight.
Suddenly, the beautiful pony felt a spark fly through her. They needed to bring the elements back, rejoin them, pay the unpayed respects. A small, hope-filled smile appeared on her face.
"They will be reborn."
