I can't believe you guys are talking about a team Cobalt. (I'm rolling my eyes but grinning hugely at the same time) You guys are crazy, but amazing readers that I love! <3

And some Secondhand Serenade on the sidebar for you enjoyment. (:
Cobalt had vanished. I wasn't too sure about leaving to find the motorcycle, but if Cobalt wanted to kill Jasper, he would have done it already. I didn't know why he had left, but I had too much on my mind to think about it.
By some miracle, I found the motorcycle. I turned it on and took a deep breath, trying to remember how to do this. I let the clutch out too quickly the first time and almost ran the bike into a tree. I quickly swerved and forced myself to stop twisting the handle. Soon I had the bike under control.
I had left Jasper in a dried creek bed, so I had to leave the motorcylce up on the bank. The trip had taken about thirty minutes, and I was relieved to see that Jasper had stabilized somewhat in my absence. Shifter healing power was really very handy, or he would most certainly have been dead at this point.
"Hey Jasper." I pushed his black hair back off of his face, afraid to shake him awake for fear of hurting him. His eyes fluttered open, and I was relieved to see they were much clearer than before. Pierce's lifeless body still lay to the side, and I knew we had to hurry before the wolves discovered it.
I looped my arms under Jasper's shoulders and stood with him. His mouth was a tight line with the pain, and I wished he would just let it out instead of always having to be strong and invincible. I mean, it wasn't like he had me fooled into thinking he was fine, so why struggle with keeping it to himself?
We had to go very slowly because of Jasper's broken ribs and who knew what other internal injuries there were. When we finally made it onto the bank where the motorcycle, he was much more steady, not wobbling quite as much. The bleeding had gone down drastically, though I could feel warm blood soaking into the side of my shirt. The climb must have opened some of his wounds again. Not that Jasper had given me any clue of that. Stubborn macho guy.
"Can you get on by yourself?" I asked anxiously.
Jasper paused. "Yes, but how were you planning on helping me?" he rasped.
"Uhhh...." I ran through possible scenarios in my head, most involving hoising his body over my shoulder and tossing him across the seat. Very practical.
"Just get on the stupid bike, smartass," I rolled my eyes. I liked him better when he was helpless, bloody, and silent. And shirtless. Definitely shirtless. I would be having some serious fantasy management issues later, I just knew it.
I slid onto the motorcycle in front of Jasper, gasping when he wrapped his bloodied arms around my middle.
"Hmmm, this is nice," he breathed into my ear, giving me shivers. "No wonder you like riding behind me on the bike." I almost giggled at his slurred voice. He was acting like he was drunk. Perhaps the excessive blood loss was making him loopy.
He nuzzled his face into the base of my neck, almost making me fall of the motorcycle. What was wrong with Jasper? He was acting like he could actually stand me. I started the bike and jerkily pulled out, roaring away to the nearby road that would take us home.
Jasper was rather subdued the whole time, but he was still acting strangely. My face burned red when he subtly spread his rough hands across my flat stomach, obviously a play on that first motorcycle ride he had taken me on. Apparently I hadn't been very subtle. Jasper didn't stop there. He placed his hands on my bare thighs, making me jump.
