3rd person's pov-

Poor Naira. It was raining.

She woke up from the a boom a the thunderstorm.
She decided to go to Asher to sleep.
She tiptoed to his room , and saw him cuddling Mila. Smiling in his sleep.

"Must be having a peaceful sleep after a long time" naira thought to herself sadly smiling a bit.

She went back to her room and buried herself deeper into the sheets.

BOOOOM! The thunder struck. Scaring the already scared kitten.

Naira mustered some courage and picked her phone. With shakey hands she called him. Damon.

Damon was at his home. Sipping whiskey in his room and staring at the rain and lightening through the glass window. Thinking about his doll the entire time.

Then his phone rang wakening the deadly silent room.

"What?" He said with his husky voice , a little annoyed by the one who ruined his near to perfect night.

"D..Damon?" Came the little voice. Damon immediately softened his tone. A bit concerned at the shaky voice that came from the other side.

"Naira? What's wrong doll? where's Asher?" Damon asked as he understood why she was so scared.

"B..bubby's.. sleeping with Mila..d..don't wake him up.." she started.."I'm sorry if I dis.. disturbed you" she said choking a bit.

"Listen here doll. If you need me. You call me. Doesn't matter the time or I'm busy or whatever. Is that understood baby?" He says sternly but calmly.

"I love you.." she whispered. His heart melted as soon as she said the magic words.

"I love you too baby" Dame said. "Try to sleep doll..I'll stay on line with you the whole night if that helps okay?" Damon declared.

The night went away as Naira fell asleep to deep voice that soothed her ears from the other side.

The other day..

Naira woke up to laughs coming from the kitchen downstairs , usually the house is dead silent or it's just the voice of the people who work for them or just naira arguing with Asher for not wanting to attend school. She got up and looked out the window.. happy to see the sun.

Naira went downstairs and saw Mila Cooking something and Asher holding Maria , Playing with her hair and watching something on the T.V. Naira never really liked watching stuff. Asher and her used to read stuff together. He didn't enjoy that a lot but never complained too. He looked happy with Maria.

"Hey kid" Ash said cheerfully. Smiling at Naira. which drew two glares towards her.

"Hey Naira" the mother and daughter duo said one after the other. They smiled at her and so did Naira.

"You'll start school tomorrow kid" Asher announced. Naira nodded.

"When is Damon coming back bubby?" Naira asked.

"Tomorrow baby" Ash says as he shifts his focus from Naira to the tv screen.

"I made breakfast" Mila announced from the kitchen.

"Thank you Mila..but I ain't hungry" she smiled at Mila who just furrowed her eyebrows.

To Naira's surprise. Asher didn't say anything and continued staring at the screen.

The day went well for Asher as he was really happy with mila and Maria. But Naira on the other hand..felt lonely..Asher spent his time with her almost all the free time with her because he knew she was lonely. Only having 1 friend doesn't solve anything so he decided he'd give the best Naira could get. But today was different.

"Bubby didn't ask me for movies today" she ranted sadly to Elliana.

"It's okay he just wants to be close to them N. How about you come over?" Elliana said cheerfully from the other side.

"Okay..I'll be there in 10" Naira told Elliana.

"Alrighty" Elliana said as she hung up.

Elliana lived right across their apartment. Naira shoved her phone into her pocket and headed downstairs where her ears were filled with laughs coming from downstairs. She saw Ash and the duo playing some board game and laughing. She smiled watching Asher be happy but it hurted her that she wasn't the part of his happy moments.

"Can I go to Elliana's home bubby?" Naira asked.

Asher didn't look at her but said "oh yeah sure Naira whatever" and continues playing with the duo.

"Bye..i love you.." Naira whispered as she practically ran to Elliana's place.
