"Don't you think there are lesser students for our 8th year?" Hermione spoke while Ron and Harry was busy buying chocolate frogs
"Mmm, maybe they didn't want to repeat?" Ron said munching on a muggle snack Harry bought Ron.
"Mayb- Hey Harry!" Hermione exclaimed "This chocolate frog has...You...in it?"
"Where let me see?" Harry was kinda excited. "why is this a shot of me almost dying?" harry cried out while Ron was weezing at this.
"Uhm, Hi, Can I please sit here?" A voice from the compartment door came. Three of them looked up and saw a Slytherin girl with short hair, medium complex was standing. It was Pansy Parkinson. She walked in but did not sit in the empty seat beside Harry as she was not approved by the golden trio
"Why are you here? Don't you have Malfoy or others to sit with?" Ron bursted out
"Hey Ron shut up" Hermione stood up "You can sit with us Parkinson"
"Unless you bother us" Ron added.
"I am very aware that you three probably hate me but I can assure I would not bother you" Pansy spoke out softly
"Please don't mind him, we cannot really decide who gets to sit where so you can sit with your choice" Hermione closed the door when Pansy sat beside Harry, making quite a good distance.
The Four of them chose to be quiet when Pansy broke the silence asking the other three to continue what they were doing and think of her as non-existent. The three started chattering but the boy with glasses and the girl with a book in her hand were speaking softer than usual.
"Uhm, Parkinson" Harry called out when Hermione was dozing off on the other boy's shoulder. "Yes?" Pansy was not sure if she was going to be asked why she decided to sit with them or be asked about life. Probably the first one. "Is Malfoy and Zabini not repeating?" Harry spoke after hesitating much. "They are, but the thing is Draco wanted to be alone in the compartment so Blaise went to sit with a Hufflepuff and another Slytherin. I would have sat there but the Hufflepuff girl did not like me so I did not have any other options to sit anywhere else and your compartment was near and was empty so I asked if I could sit here" Pansy said lowering her head.
Harry was not concerned about the Hufflepuff girl who didn't like Pansy or the fact that Pansy did not Hesitate to tell everything to Harry when he asked only once, that also, stuttering like a 3 year old who just learnt his ABCs. He was concerned about why Draco Malfoy whom he almost saw as an attention seeker wanted to be alone instead of bugging some Gryffindors.
"Anything else?" Pansy asked while facing at the window. "Uh. No. Thanks for telling though" Harry Replied.
"Hmm, it's okay" Pansy went to change to her school uniform.
*IN DRACO'S COMPARTMENT*
"Hey Draco, are you okay?" A very calming voice came. Draco was facing the window. "Whoever you are, please leave me alone" Draco said before turning. He saw a blonde ravenclaw girl with the most sweetest smile ever. "Luna Lovegood?" Draco stuttered. "Surprising that you remember my name" Luna sat beside Draco. "What do you want?" Draco rolled his eyes
"Hey. look at me" Luna touched Draco's hands. "Hey! Don't touch me! isn't Longbottom you boyfriend? Go back to him" Draco Flinched but was not really angry. "But you seem lonely, I just wanted to be lonely with you and yes, he is my boyfriend but he has enough confidence on me that I would not break his heart, atleast not with you." Luna stopped for a while "It does not matter who you were in the past, looking back at the past can help you with nothing at all. Don't worry, only people who don't understand your importance will not welcome you." Luna's voice went from sweet to serious and then back to sweet again.
"H-How do you know...?" Draco finally made eye contact "And I don't really think that anyone except you, I think, Pansy and Blaise would welcome me so..."
"I would not say anymore. Now it's all upto you, Draco. Just so you know, I'm always there for help" Luna waved him a goodbye. "Hey! Lovegood!" Draco called out before Luna was out of sight. "Call me Luna" She smiled. "Uh, yeah, Luna. Can you like tell me if Potter is repeating? Don't worry, I won't bug him" Draco said
"Yes, he is! Anything else?"
"No..."
"Okay! Bye Bye Draco. I will go change into my robes!" She hopped away as her old strawberry earrings swayed with her.
"Did I just make a new friend? Maybe not, everyone uses me for no good except two people and at this point I don't even know if they will not turn their back on me but... She seemed different" Draco sighed in his already worn robes with the perfectly knotted tie.
