"Adventure count 17!" Ron spoke. Hermione was not near him anymore. Ron was in the middle of Blaise and Pansy while Hermione beside Ginny Weasley.
"We don't count our adventures or else we'd have quite good number as well...like 5 or 6 at least" Blaise said.As they were going deeper into the forest, their voices were becoming clearer and louder.
"Harry, did we ever come to this part of the forest?" Hermione asked. Before Harry could answer Luna spoke. "No we haven't. Look above Mione, what part of a forest doesn't have a view of the moon" Everyone soon realized it was a night before full moon and they should have a good view of the moon, but it seemed like the moon has gone somewhere else, somewhere out of their sights. "What's happening Luna?!" Draco spoke. "QUIET!" Ginny shouted. Everyone shut their mouths, there was graveyard silence all around. They could hear drops of water falling onto water itself. The silence deepened, and the air grew thicker with an almost tangible sense of anticipation. As the group stood still, straining to catch any hint of what was happening, the rhythmic dripping of water seemed to gain a haunting melody, a melancholic "Do-Re-Mi" that echoed faintly around them. The sound was both soothing and unsettling, as though it was drawing them into something unknown.
Harry's gaze fixed on Luna, who seemed entranced by the subtle melody. Her usually dreamy eyes were now wide and luminous, reflecting a strange, eerie light. It was as if the melody was resonating within her, a call from somewhere beyond their understanding. She took a tentative step forward, her movements slow and deliberate, as if guided by an invisible force. Harry, who had been watching her intently, followed suit, his own eyes taking on a similar, otherworldly glow. "Harry? Luna?" Hermione whispered, her voice filled with concern. She took a step closer to Harry, but the darkness around them seemed to shift and swirl, casting strange shadows that danced along the forest floor. The others, too, began to notice the peculiar sight and the inexplicable pull of the melody. Reluctantly but with growing curiosity, they started to follow. As they walked, the forest around them seemed to change. The trees, once dark and imposing, now appeared to bend and sway in time with the haunting melody.
The air grew cooler, and the soft, eerie tune began to envelop them, filling the space with an almost tangible presence. Hermione glanced around nervously. "We should be careful. This doesn't feel right." But the allure of the melody was strong, and even she found her steps faltering as she followed the entranced pair. The glow in Harry and Luna's eyes became more pronounced, and their expressions were serene, yet unsettling in their intensity.
Ginny kept her distance, her face etched with worry. "We need to snap them out of it!" she urged, but her voice was barely audible over the pervasive sound of dripping water. The rhythmic drops seemed to synchronize with the glowing eyes of Harry and Luna, creating an eerie harmony that tugged at the edges of their consciousness.
As they moved further into the forest, the source of the sound came into view. It was a small, secluded glade, bathed in a soft, unnatural light that seemed to emanate from within the forest itself. In the center of the glade was an ancient, moss-covered stone pedestal with intricate runes etched into its surface. Water dripped steadily from a hidden source above, creating the haunting melody that had drawn them in. Harry and Luna approached the pedestal, their eyes fixed on the runes with a mixture of awe and reverence. The others, now fully in the glade, watched in a mix of fascination and fear. The rhythm of the dripping water seemed to match their own heartbeats, the air charged with a strange, electric tension.
Draco, his face pale, whispered, "What is this place? And why are they so captivated?" Before anyone could answer, the runes on the pedestal began to glow with a soft, ethereal light, casting intricate patterns on the ground and illuminating the faces of those who stood nearby. The melody grew louder, the "Do-Re-Mi" becoming a more complex and enchanting tune, filling the glade with its mysterious allure. Hermione took a deep breath and stepped forward, her eyes locked on the pedestal. "We need to understand what this is before we can figure out how to help them," she said firmly. The group gathered around the pedestal, their expressions a mix of determination and unease.
Draco Malfoy was determined to do anything for his lover. He put his hands forward to touch the pedestal. Before he could touch it Luna held his hands. "Stop it Malfoy. That does not belong to you" Luna's eyes were soul less, voice robotic, seemed like someone was controlling her. Ginny ran over to her. "Luna! What the heck! Luna!" Ginny shook Luna but she seemed dead inside and stood still without moving. "Guys what is happening to her!?" Ginny broke down crying into Ron's arms. "Shut up Ginny, its not the time to break down, our friends are in trouble, we are in trouble" Pansy shouted at Ginny.
"As per I know, Potter has a lot of self control due to his past of him being a horcrux" Blaise said while going near the boy who lived.
"What's happening Harry?" Blaise asked while Draco put his arm on his shoulder.
"sŇΔ𝓟乇....!" Harry tried to say something but nobody understood what."What? Dear please try to say it properly, I know you can" Draco held Harry's freezing hands.
"SNAPE!! SNAPE!! SNAPE!!" Harry shouted and his eyes stopped glowing and so did Luna's. Luna being unable to gain consciousness fell on the ground with a thud making Ron, Ginny and Pansy gather around her.
"Snape what?! Is he here? Tell me Harry, what had happened to you both a while ago!?" Draco was very concerned and afraid."Quick! Tell me if there is a Waterfall nearby or anywhere in here!?" Harry panicked.
"Harry be practical...where would be a Waterfa-" Before Ron could finish her sentence Hermione shrieked "Yes! I have read in a book of the time when Hogwarts was not even built. The book claims that if we follow the fireflies till the sound of a biwa(biwa is a string instrument), we will reach a hidden waterfall where it is often said where unsatisfied and live souls linger around"
"Yes that's it!" Pansy exclaimed
"What do you mean by fireflies Mione?" Blaise asked while picking up Luna in his arms(NOT A SHIP GUYS PLEASE DON'T SHIP THEM AEEUGHHH)"Look" Hermione looked above indicating the other to look too. There were 8 fireflies. Particularly 8. Each above one member's head.
"Take us there, dear fireflies" Pansy said by softening her gaze. All the fireflies started to go in two different direction. The ones above Ginny, Luna, Harry and Draco to the left and the ones above Pansy, Hermione, Blaise and Ron to the right.
"Blaise put Luna down, she is conscious" Draco spoke.
"Luna, come with us till we reach the-"
'WATERFALL!" Luna said
"Yes, the waterfall"
