Jeniveve's POV

I turned in my sleep, , my cheek connecting with something cold, waking me up. I opened my eyes to see my cheek had connected with Ronnie's bare chest. I couldn't help but feel saddened by that. He was always cold, never warm, never... alive.

"Good morning," I heard him say.

I looked up with him, a smile on my face, "hi."

His finger went to my chin, pulling my lips to his softly. Butterflies erupted in my stomach at the sweet gesture.

"Why don't you get dressed, shower, whatever you need to do, and I'll make you breakfast. Sound good?" He smiled down at me. A frown appeared on my face. "What's wrong love?"

I looked down, "you can't eat with me..."

"Kels, look at me," he spoke. I looked up at him, "I don't need to eat with you, all I need is you."

I grinned widely, my face flushing red. I kissed him again, this time trying to express love through my lips. His hand held my lower back against his body, rubbing over my back. I let my tongue touch his before pulling away.

"I'll go get in the shower," I said, standing from the bed and taking my shirt off as I walked toward the bathroom. I tossed my shirt at him, hitting him in the face. I laughed, he gave a fake annoyed expression.

I hopped in the shower, washing my hair and body. When I exited, I got dressed in leggings and a T-shirt. I quickly blow dried my hair, brushing it through before leaving my bathroom. I bit my lip, I looked so much happier than I did last month. Hell, I was romantically involved with a demon and that made me happy.

I walked downstairs, smelling sausage, making my mouth water. Ronnie stood by my stove, his back to me as he held a spatula in his hand. I snuck up behind him, hugging him from behind.

"Hello to you too," he spoke, his voice doing the sinister tone, his vocal cords shaking.

I furrowed my eyebrows, "are you okay?" I asked, taking a step back. He was silent. I grabbed his arm, turning him to me.

I screamed at what I saw. It was the demon from before, his eyes red and his mouth full of blood. I turned, beginning to run, but he caught me. He tackled me to the ground, his hand squeezing my neck hard. I screamed in pain. "Help!" I screamed, mentally begging Ronnie to come help me.

Visions of my father dead on the ground with a pool of blood by his head flooded my mind. I screamed at the memory, "stop! Make it stop!"

"Hey Kelsey- get the fuck off of her!" I heard Ronnie's voice boom through my house. I turned my head, seeing he had dropped a grocery bag on the floor and was running toward me.

Suddenly, I was pulled from the ground, my head being grabbed on both sides. My eyes widened in fear as I stared at Ronnie who had stopped running. "You come any closer I will break her fucking neck," the demon spoke.

"Ronnie," I cried out, "please, h-help."

"Ah?" The demon spoke, "you told her your name?"

Ronnie's face became pale, his veins showing through his thin skin. "That's none of your concern. Let go of her!"

"Master will be angry when he hears this," his hands turned my neck to the side.

"No!" Ronnie yelled, lunging at the demon.

After a few minutes of hearing punches, Ronnie rushed over to me. "Kelsey, oh shit, no, no, no, don't do this now," he cried out. I looked up at him, seeing he was crying.

"Don't worry babe, he just gave me whiplash," I smiled with a laugh.

"That's not fucking funny Kelsey," Ronnie spat.

I sat up, turning my neck straight. It hurt, but at least I was alive. "I'm sorry," I held his face in my hands, giving him a soft kiss.

I turned to my right, seeing the demon with his skull bashed in. The sight made me jump in fear. "Don't look at that," Ronnie spoke.

"You killed him?" I asked.

"I had to," he answered. I slowly nodded.

"Kelsey?" He asked.

"Hm?" I turned back to him.

"You're my One."
