"Did Mommy really pass out?" the daughter asked, eyes wide.

"Yup!" Persephone said.

"What does pass out mean?" the daughter asked.

"It means you fall down and fall asleep for a little while," Emma explained.

"Oh. Is that the same thing as pass away?" the daughter asked.

"No, no, no, no, no, it's not the same thing. Passing away is falling asleep for a long long time," Emma said quickly. Her daughter did not need to know what death was quite yet.

"Is that what happened to Daddy?" the daughter asked.

"Um, well, um, uh," Emma started, flustered.

"LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!" Persephone exclaimed excitedly.

"Yes, let's" Emma said, grateful Persephone was saving her once again.

"Okay. What did you do while Mommy was passed out?" the daughter asked Persephone.

"Well..."
