I'm moving back to my old town after moving away for 3 years because my father got a better job offer in London.
Now I'm back but only with my mother since she and my dad got divorced. Yea, things got messy after we moved away but I'm so happy to be back here.
I wonder if my best friend still around
My mom and I went to the grocery store to get some things for the fridge when I noticed a girl that looked familiar. She made eye contact with me and her jaw fell.
That's when the realization hits me
She came running and I hugged her "Y/n oh my God what are you doing here!?" "Jayla hiii I miss you," I said.
"Are you here for the holidays?" She asked "Nope we moved back," I said, "Oh my god yesss have you told anyone yet?" "Nope I kinda lost the number of people here with my phone at Fell and Sea two years ago"
"Damn" "Yup I know" "Dude Javon is it going to be over the moon," she said and my heart swelled.

We didn't have a messy breakup but we had to break up since first of all we were 13 and had no idea how to do a long-distance relationship so we decided to break it off because we both hated it.
"Do you guys still live in the same house?" "Nope we moved a few blocks up front at a bigger house," she said "You should come over," she said.
We both went looking for my mom and found her at the fruit stands. She was so happy to see Jayla and more excited when we asked her if it was OK if I went back with Jayla to their house.
My mom loves the Walton so much I'm guessing because we lived next to each other. Our whole lives, and we treat each other as family.
Angela was 18 so she had a car and a license and she was the one who drove us there.
"last time I saw you you were in braces and now you braces free and have beautiful hair. PS I love the color pink on you"
I mean, she's right I've changed a lot in the last couple of years I took off my braces lost a couple of pounds, and highlighted my hair pink.

We reached the Walton's new house and it was a bit bigger than ours.
My heart started beating fast as we reached the door. Jayla put in her keys and unlock it.
"Guys I have a surprise," she said then told me to stay outside. "What is it?" I heard her father ask "It better not be and you scratch on the car Jayla"
Jess and DJ still sound the same, Now I can't wait to see them.
"So as you know, I went to the grocery store-" "Did you bring me the prime I wanted," a little boy said.
That must be Daelo
"No I brought no groceries" "Jayla," her mother said disappointed "Wait I have something better with me"
She opened the door, revealing me to her family "Ta-da!"
The whole family was shocked to see me "Wait is that-" "Y/n!!" Daelo ran and hugged me "Hi baby D how are you? Oh my god you've grown so much" I said "Okay I don't think I can pick you up anymore"
"And you haven't grown a bit," he said smiling "Rude" "Oh my god Y/n What are you doing here?" Jess said pulling me into a hug.
"they moved back," Jayla told them "no way!" "Yes, way!" "Welcome back kid!" Dj hugged me and when he pulled away he said "Love the new look"
" you always wanted pink hair, how did you convince your parents?" Jaden said "Hello to you too Jdub" I hugged him.
"Dude Javon will be so shocked to see you here," he said, "where is he?" I asked "he's coming now I thi-oh his car just arrived at the driveway," Jess said.
"Quick hide Y/n," Daelo said and he took my hand taking me to the food pantry in their kitchen.
"Javon always likes to eat a bag of Doritos when he comes throw the bag at him and walk away," he said and I nodded.
-Javon's pov-
"I'm back!" I yelled getting into the house "Welcome back, Honey" my mom said, and I went to the kitchen, asking her what she cooked for lunch.
"I'm making some club sandwiches for everyone," she said "Alright Please don't forget to add some hot sauce to mine," I said sitting down on the stool next to the counter.
Everyone was in the kitchen, Jaden on his phone, my dad typing on his laptop and Daelo on his iPad while Jayla was filling her water bottle.
A bag of my favorite Doritos was thrown in front of me "Thanks" I said and the girl in the Hoodie walked away.
"Who's that?" I asked my mom "Why don't you go and see for yourself" she said and I looked over to see her next to my dad.
I walked to her and she had her hood up so I looked aside trying to grab a glance but she walked to the other side of the table.
I walked to her, and she walked away "Who are you" I asked and she ran away so I started running after her.
I trapped her into a corner and placed my arms around her trapping her in. She took off her hoodie revealing her pink hair but when I looked at her immediately knew who she was.
