on the first day of highschool someone had instantly caught your eye. shortly after you found out the boys name; alhaitham.
you observed him for a month and found out a few things,
he was rather aloof and indifferent, he good in looks and exceeded at academics. to you he was enticing, someone you wanted to befriend.
although he was someone you were captivated by, unfortunately your peers and professors thought the opposite. to them, he was a cocky and would easily get riled up by his blunt remarks.
harsh rumors surrounded him constantly (possibly due to jealousy) but he lived as if he did not care, it was as if he knew he was better than them all. that was a part of him you admired.
perhaps it was that admiration that drove you to talk to him, befriend him.
your friends tried warning you about him, how he'd drive you mad, how you could possibly get ostracized, that didn't matter, all that mattered was him.
before you knew it,a few months had passed and you didn't know how or when you got so close to him, when he opened up to you. you were one of the very few people that he interacted with or rather tolerated or accepted your presence.
greetings, bidding farewells, conversing, studying together in the library became common gestures for the two
it made you feel special, happy.
perhaps that feeling of being special made you feel things for him, you had feelings for him.
