Izuku texts the hero killer after his master supplies a phone via Kurogiri and simply waited. At night, he would read newspapers he can find. Most of the articles talked about All Might becoming a teacher at UA. Then he hears a scream. Bounding over rooftops, he peters down into the alley to investigate. He sees a woman being threatened by a guy with blades protruding from his skin. "Empty your purse god damnit!"
Izuku hides over the edge of the building. 'A hero should come, right?' He hears more screaming from the woman, but she goes quite, only whimpering now. Then he smelt it again. The metallic scent that Stain has soaked into his skin. Blood. Unable to ignore what is happening, laws be damned, he leaps down into the alley in a crouch, the cement cracking beneath his landing.

The combined soght and smell of the blood triggered Izuku's instincts and he growls, getting the muggers attention. Turning, the criminal starts running away after seeing the terrifying figure. Izuku sees a bit of busted pipe by his foot and kicks it, hitting the mugger and leaving him groaning in pain on the ground.  He warily approached the woman. "Are you... okay?"
She stares silently at nothing, at which Izuku realised that she is blind. Drops of blood drip down her neck from the pin pricks the mugger left behind as she slowly reaches out in front of her, prodding at Izuku's torso before latching onto him as a flood of sobs and "thank you" leave the woman's mouth. Izuku, having not often been hugged, freezes and pats her on the back before detaching her from him and leaping onto the roof.

Later on, Izuku can't stop thinking about that woman. He'd never been thanked before, except by his mother. He wasn't a hero. He broke the law by saving her. Except he saved a life, he was thanked and it made him feel... good. Not as good as his master telling him he had potential, but still better than he felt for most of his life. This was only possible because of his master. "I should find a way to formally thank him. The sports festival happened a short while ago. I should ask master for a recording. He would appreciate new quirks. Good ones." Suddenly, his phone vibrates with a text from Stain. A location.

Arriving at the rooftop, Izuku finds Stain perched on a ledge, holding a thick file and appearing disgusted. He tosses the file at Izuku's feet. "I've been investigating the nearby heroes. A few came here solely to defeat me. Most of them were decent enough. The more fane or money obsessed come from either poorer backgrounds or had signs of neglect. Then along came Endeavour." Izuku opens the file to see Endeavour's scowling face along with a ridiculously long list of disturbing facts. "He was in a quirk marriage with a woman with an ice quirk, which is disgusting in its own right, but it gets worse. He wanted a kid that could surpass him, and therefore All Might. A fruitless endeavour ironically. He has kid after kid, none meeting his standards. He left their mother as the only one to care about them. Their eldest son died, burning to death in their own house. They never found a body. Then comes along Shoto Todoroki. He was evidently the only successful attempt, because his dad beat the crap out of him for training purposes. One day his wife suffers a mental break and pours boiling water on her youngest's face. She's sent to a mental hospital with no one the wiser.

Izuku felt sick. Endeavour was supposed to be a hero. How could he do this. As Stain talked and he read the file, that disgust was replaced with rage. How dare Endeavotvyhink he could get away with this. He's not a hero. He's a villain. Izuku turns his head up at Stain. "I was apprehensive about this at first. But now I'm all in."
