"Not the worst sleep ever," I muttered. "I had to sleep in a vent. With Juem."

"Must've been hard," Al yawned.

I looked at her. "I wasn't talking to you."

She rolled her eyes. "Nevermind, then."

I got up from the floor to see Jonathan putting on his shirt, and straightening it. "Well, I'm going to work. I have to work on the experiment, after all. Have fun, Al. You too, Xander," he glared at me, spitting out my name like a curse.

"What did I do to you?!"

He said nothing, put on his coat, and left. "Stupid scientist," I muttered.

After Jonathan left, Al grabbed a chair, got on it, and rolled over to Jonathan's desk. She then opened the computer and typed in a password. "You can't do that."

"Of course, I can," Al replied. "Jonathan let me."

I huffed, and Al shrugged. She then typed down a website name.

"What? You read fanfiction on that website?" I laughed. "Loser."

She rolled her eyes. "Used to. Now I just read normal stories."

"Used to? Loser."

After a while of Al just reading, I got bored. "What are you even reading, anyway?"

"Story."

"Uh, What's the name, bozo?"

"The Children, by Yohio-Chan."

"Yohio-Chan?"

"It's a weird username. Their writing is good, though. You should come over and-"

BAM!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

We screamed as the door toppled down, like a domino in a light breeze.

"Hey! How are ya?" Finley stood in the doorway, foot out.

"You just..."

"Kicked down the door, I know," he put his foot down. "Anywho, I've got someone to introduce to ya."

He then dragged a skinny, tall Asian boy out of the hallway, and pushed him into the room. He had glasses, and hair that was parted to the right. His outfit was like ours, but dark green.

"He looks so cool..." Al whispered. "Handsome too."

I gave her a weird look. "What?"

"I mean, he looks better than you," Al laughed.

Finley coughed, "AHEM! Anywho, his name is Joshua Law, but you can call him Josh."

"Rolls off the tongue just right," I shrugged. "Alright. But why bring him here?"

"Well," Finley started, "Jonathan usually uses three for his experiments, so I decided to bring in one more."

"Alright," Al said. "Well, thanks. Xander's being... Uh, not the best roomie right now."

"Shut up."

Al sighed.

"Anywho, I better be going now," Finley said. "See you later."

Al waved at Finley as he put the door back up, not before he pushed Josh inside. "Well! I'll be going back to the computer," she turned in the chair and returned to the story she was reading.

After a while, of us just doing what we were doing, Josh pulled up a chair next to Al and started reading as well.

I just sat down and did nothing.
