The Corruption

Michael, Kam, Tara and I were in the cafeteria. Michael and I were stuffing food in our mouths as if we haven't eaten in months, kam and Tara looked at us with disgust as we shoveled food into our mouths like pigs.

After I finished eating I sat back in my chair and let out a big burp, "that'll do it" I exclaimed.
Kam and Tara still looked disgusted, kam then said "so I'd take it you're feeling better" I then replied "I never felt like shit to begin with, but I'm less hungry than before, so I guess I am" I chuckled
As I stood up I noticed that almost the whole cafeteria began staring at me, it was kinda weirding me out. I went to go put my tray away and all the people in the cafeteria were watching me as I walked to the garbage.
I got to the garbage but when I looked around everyone was conversing and chatting it up like nothing had happened, what the fuck?
I put my tray on top of the garbage and quickly paced back to where I was sitting.
I sat down and whispered"did you guys see that?"
Kameron and Tara shook their heads but Michael nodded, this probably had something to do with our encounter with that Kaizer guy.

I stayed on my seat and started looking around the cafeteria for any suspicious activity. I searched the best I could, but I got nothing.
A few minutes after that Trent sat down next to me.
"I let Harkin know about your findings, he was acting a little strange" Trent said
"Ya so is everyone, except for Kam, Michael and Tara, they seem fine" I replied
"You think this is linked to your encounter with Kaizer?" Trent asked
"I don't think, I know it, never have I seen such an occurrence at both here and Artemis" I replied.

The room went completely silent, I could hear that same flute song from my first encounter with Kaizer. Michael and I stood up and looked around, Kam and Tara were still sitting down, Trent too stood up. Out of nowhere, part of the ceiling blew up, leaving a huge hole above us.
From the hole the five of us saw a single person float down, everyone in the cafeteria formed a big circle around us, it was definitely Kaizer.
He floated down until he landed on our table, he then said in a deep voice
"Congratulations, you played your part"
We all stepped back away from the table, after which I shouted "What the hell is this, Kaizer!?"
Kaizer chuckled, he then said "I guess I never told you my plan, did I? I'm going to use the power of darkness to take control of people who possess darkness in their hearts, then used those who I corrupt to take over the world!"
We could all hear the doors to the cafeteria open, I swiftly turned around, I noticed it was Hayley and Rhys, I'm sure they're not involved with this mess.

"Jack! What the heck!?" Hayley shouted
"Stay calm, we got this!" I shouted before powering up to my first ascendance.
"No no no, no fighting me yet, boy, there is still another person here who possess more darkness than anyone at this school. He looked Trent dead in the eye, then Trent began grunting and groaning in pain.
"What the hell is happening, Trent!?" Kam shouted
We all took a few steps back, during that time Kaizer began floating up.

As Trent was down on the ground grunting and groaning, his skin began forming dark markings, he looked up for a short second and I could see that his eyes were completely black.

I looked up at Kaizer and shouted "What the hell are you doing to Trent!?!"
Kaizer chuckled and said "I'm bringing out the darkness inside of your friend, he too will be under my control, since you and your other friends have little to no darkness in your hearts, I thought your friend Trent here would be a close second".

Trent got up, his face was covered in black markings, his eyes were completely black and he had his eye on me.
I looked at Kam and Tara and said "try and get out of here, Michael and I will handle this"
"NO!" Trent shouted
Trent pulled out his sword, which began emitting some sort of dark energy instead of the regular white wraith energy
"My fight is with you, Jack!" Trent shouted
"Trent, you need to get ahold of yourself, you can fight this!" I shouted.
Trent swiftly we t to strike, but I powered up to my first ascendance and grabbed the tip of the sword and held it above my face, "I know you can fight this Trent" I said
Trent grunted and pulled his sword back and teleported behind me, I could hear him swing his blade but I quickly spun around and avoided it, I punched him in the stomach, then he powered up to his Second ascendance, as did I.

"Ever since our encounter I've always wished to surpass you, I was close until we moved here and you met that bafoon Michael, then I truly felt helpless, now that I have the power of darkness on my side-" he bent his knees and began shouting, oh no, I think he's powering up to a third ascendance. He kept shouting, his hair began getting longer, the markings on his face and skin began glowing purple. After powering up for a few seconds he let out a short pulse of wraith energy, then finished by saying "-I now have the power to beat you!".

I too powered up to my third ascendance then said "if you wish to do this Trent, don't expect me to show mercy".
I swiftly flew over to him and kicked him so hard that it sent him through the walls of the cafeteria, I looked back and saw Hayley grab Tara and ran out the cafeteria, thank god.
I flew out after Trent,as soon as I got through the hole I was blasted with wraith energy, it threw me off balance and I fell to the ground. I quickly got up, Trent swinging at me with his sword, I was narrowly dodging every single one of his strikes.

As soon as I saw an opening I had grabbed his arm and blasted his chest with lightning energy. It threw him to the ground, it made him even more angry.
"What will it take to beat you!!" Trent shouted
"I'll tell you this, Trent, you need to adapt to your Third ascendance, you need to grow into its power, it must fit you like a glove for you to get full power of it, if you don't, it's no more powerful than your second, you're still weaker than me, Trent, and not even the power of Kaizer's darkness can give you the power to beat me!" I shouted.

I punched Trent in the stomach again then grabbed him by his long hair and threw him to the ground. He got up within a blink of an eye and went to strike me with his sword, I grabbed the blade as he swung and ripped the sword right out of his hands, then snapped it in half over my knee.
Then swiftly kicked him in the stomach, then I spun around and swiftly kicked him in the head, knocking him to the ground unconcious.

I turned around and heard Kaizer clapping, he then said "Well done, boy, very well done" I then shouted "lift this curse from my friend! I shouldn't bare the shame of your corruption!" I shouted.
Kaizer began cackling, this isn't over yet.

Kameron and I were taking on the corrupted students Kaizer had taken over,one by one we took them on with ease.

"We can't keep this up! We gotta help Jack! He could be getting his ass handed to him!" I shouted
"I know jack, he's not gonna lose to Trent!"
I turned around and saw Rhys, he was crouched behind a few tables, fucking pussy. I kept fighting until I heard Rhys shout
"Bendedictionem de lumine!!"
In an instant all the student collapsed and the dark markings on them were slowly fading away.

Rhys ran over to us and said "sorry guys, I was trying to find the blessing of light spell, I didn't mean for it to take too long"
"Michael and I were doing alright" Kameron said as he lightly smacked my arm.

Rhys looked around and asked "where's Tara and Hayley?"
"I heard Hayley mention that she was gonna get Tara as far out as they possibly could, I heard her mention something as to why so far but I didn't catch it, probably nothing too important".
Rhys, Kam and I ran outside, Jack and Kaizer were duking it out.

I powered up to my absolute max, and began charging in, but Rhys grabbed my shoulder and said "I got a better idea"
I looked at him and asked "what? What are you talking about?" Rhys then grinned and said "we can finally move fusion to human trials"...
