Brandon's pov
I walked into the hospital and I make it to the front desk as the nurse greets me
Nurse:hello there what are you here for brandon
I smiled at her
Me:I'm here to visit an old friend of min tara carpenter
Nurse:ah yes here's the room number
She said giving me the room number and floor
Nurse:but visiting hours are almost over
Me:I'll call in my favor that you guys owe me
I Started walking towards the elevator and ride it to her floor I get out and head towards her room I make it to her door and hesitate pulling my nerves together I knock on the door I hear shuffling coming from the room as the door opens and I'm greets by Sam as she looks at me cautiously
Sam:hey who are you and why are you here
Me:I didn't change that much now did I  I'm surprised you don't recognize me Sam
I said as she thinks for a moment as she opens her mouth in surprise
Sam:i-is that you Brandon
Me:yeah... yeah it is
Sam:you've change Jesus wow
Me:you've changed as well you got more beautiful
I said to her as I see a quick blush apper on her face
Sam:and you've gotten more confident
Me:had too or I'd be walk all over on so can I come In or no
Sam:I heard you and tara aren't friends anymore
Me:a bit of a overstatement but I guess that's true we just don't talk anymore you know we grew apart she got more popular I became an outcast to everyone and yeah
I said going quite as Sam just looks at me
Me:look if you don't want me here that's fin-
I'm interrupted when I feel her hands wrap around me pulling me into a tight hug
Sam:you don't know how worried I was when you weren't here
I just give a small smile and hug her back; back when me and tara where best friends I would hang out at there place all the time and Sam would take care of us all the time me and her became good friends as well with her helping me with any bullies I had and me doing all her homework she tells me she only passed high-school because I did her work
Me:I missed you too so can I come In
Sam:yeah I think she be really happy to see you
Me:let's hope so
She let's me into the room and I walk in tara immediately notices me and she looks shocked but her expression changes to one of Joy
Tara:Brandon i-is that you
Me:yeah umm sorry for not visiting earlier I didn't know if you wanted me here
Tara:o-of course I want you here
She said a tight smile a awkward silence falls between us before I speak again
Me:I was about to ask how you feel but you probably fell like shit right
Tara give a small laugh
Tara:yeah but they have me on the good drugs
I laguh at her joke as Sam chimes into the conversation
Sam:so I never asked but how are you Brandon
Me:I doing better I'm no longer the loser of the school I'm the freak now
I said I see Sam give me a concerned looked
Sam:what do you mean
I was about to explain when tara interrupts me
Tara:it's because he beat up one of his bullies with one backhand
Sma look at me in shock
Sam:h-how
Me:I changed Sam something changed in me I wish I could tell you now but I don't know if I can
Sam/tara:why
Brandon:if you knew what happen to me I wouldn't be Me anymore to you guys I would be a monster a freak
I said as Silences fall between us as I feel both tara and Sam grab one of my hands
Tara:I-I don't know what happen Brandon and I know we aren't as close as we use to be but I hope one day you trust me enough again to tell me what happened to you
Sam:she's right I don't have much to say except sorry... sorry that I left you alone for so long and hopefully one day you can also tell me what happen
I just put my head down as I give them a slight nod we continued to talk about life when Sam stepped out of the room to take her medicine leaving me and tara alone
Me:where you scared
I asked out if the blue
Me:sorry if it's insensitive
I said trying to reassure her
Tara:it's fine I was I was completely and utterly terrified it like my life was on repeat each time he stabbed me
Me:that must have been horrible
Tara:it was you know I saw you when I was being stabbed
Me:l-like me stabbing you
I asked as she gave a small laugh
Tara:no you dummie I mean I though of you
She said smiling at me I give a small smile back when I suddenly feel my senses go off I jump up in surprise shocking tara
Tara:what's wrong Brandon speak to me
I didn't respond as I looked around the room when suddenly sam comes running into the room out of breath
Me:hey Sam what's wrong
But before she could respond a random dude comes walking in and my sense went off again but a bit softer this time
???:hey Sam are you OK
Me:who are you
???:who are you
Sam:sorry Brandon I forgot to mention this is my boyfriend Richie
Me:that's your boyfriend
I said pointing at him
Me:did you lose a dare or something
Richie:oh screw you asshole
I raise my hands up as Sam speaks up
Sam:not the time either of you alright and too answer your question I was attacked by Ghostface
Me:Ghostface is here where
Sam:they left by the time I looked back
After that the police arrived along with deputy hicks who questions me
Hicks:where were you during the attacks
Me:I was with tara when it happen you can ask her
Hicks:OK answer me this visiting hours are over what are you doing here your not a relative to the the victim
Me:called in a favor that this hospital owes me speaking of I want to call in two favors that you owe me
Hicks:and whats that
Me:one can you drive me home one I don't feel like running two so I have a eye witness just incase something else happens
Hicks:OK that's fair what's the second favor
Me:keep this ghost face stuff away from my dad
Hicks:Brandon we need him he has the most experience with this
Me:I know it's not fair for me to ask this of you but if something were to happen to my dad I don't know what I do so please don't drag him back into this
The detective let out a long sigh
Hicks:ok I won't drag him back into this
Me:thank you
Hicks:no problem kid are you ready too go or not yet
Me:yeah just give me a moment to say bye
I walk away back towards tara room as I hear what's happening and I stop in my tracks from what I hear.. Sam's dad is Billy Lomas one of the first Ghostfaces suddenly the door opens and a crying Sam comes out without even thinking I wrap my arms around her as she crys into my chest
Sam:did you hear any of it
Me:yeah I did but I doesn't matter to me
What I said shocked her as she looked at Me
Me:look I happen to know alot about bloodlines being a legacy kid myself and sure mine aren't half as bad as your's but if you ever want someone to talk to you can come to me
She give me a small smile as she hugs me tightly
Sam:thank you
Me:no problem I should probably say my goodbyes to tara
She nods and walks over to her boyfriend as I walk into tara's room as I hear her crying
Me:hey
Tara wipes her tears as she looks at me
Tara:sorry about that
Me:it's no problem
Tara:did you hear it
Me:yeah
Silence fell between us
Tara:how do you deal with it
Me:what?
Tara:how do you deal with someone related to you being the root of your problems
Me:you just have to continue to exist and live on as cheesey as that sounds
Tara:do you hate your mom
Me:a part of me wants to truly hate here but she's my mom even if she gave me up I always wanted her to just love and care for me unlike my mom tho Sam came back for you don't waste it tara don't waste this chance to build that relationship again can you promise me that
She nods her head as she leans into me and we just stay like that for a good while
